One Stamp - Two Ways

Hello!
How are you all? I haven't posted in nearly a week ... just been busy doing DT projects whilst I still have some inspiration ...
I hope all my friends across the pond enjoyed Mothering Sunday ... We celebrated way back in March ... but I did get to go to a 50th Birthday party on Sunday afternoon and it poured with rain all day which was such a shame as we were hoping to sit outside ... I'm sure everyone had fun just the same ... And of course we had sunshine the next day ... even had hailstones thrown in!
Before I get onto today's DT project ... can I just say a big "Thank You" to Heather and the ladies at Flourishes for my win ... I'm delighted!

Ok ... Today is the start of a new challenge at City Crafter where we have our creator the lovely Kirsty hosting for us with a great challenge

Create 2 projects using the same stamp but in different ways
Please note it MUST be an image stamp NOT a sentiment stamp

I went with the rose stamp from La Blanche ... I've been using this a lot lately
The first card shows the image stamped simply onto white cardstock using Teal Momento ink and the second card shows the image stamped using distress stains spritzed with water

The background paper is from the  Eline's Huis Roses are Red collection and I just added some Washi tape and trims from my supplies

... Here's the second card

One stamp 2 ways
Which do you prefer?

Our Guest designer is the uber talented Colleen Dietrich who won our week 156 challenge with her beautiful card ... I can't wait to see what Colleen and the rest of the designers have created so I'm off to the blog to take a look ... Our winner this week will also have a GD spot with us so get out your stamps and play and don't forget to create 2 cards or projects

Have a beautiful day and I'll be back tomorrow
Thanks so much for stopping by

~ Ros ~

Dear Ros! I've been scrolling up and down and up and down trying to make up my mind... and finally decided that if I really have to I'll say I like the second one better - for the spritzed water effects! Lovely cards!

Your cards are beautiful, Ros, I like both and cannot choose a favorite! I like how you used the inks in the second one, looks like a water color. Our Sunday was sunny and warm, so rain was not an issue. Hope your days will continue to give you sunshine, as I know you would like some spring! Have a fabulous tuesday.

Hi sweetie! They're both gorgeous Ros, I really wouldn't know which one to prefer. But I really do like the effect of the multi coloured rose of the second one. So funny we both used a La Blanche stamp! They're gorgeous, aren't they?
Hailstones... good grief! We're having rain here now.

Big hug,
Wendy

It´s always wonderful to see your creations with this gorgeous stamp Ros, both of your cards are lovely, but I´d go with your first one, since turquoise is one of my favourite colours, lol! Hugs, Ira xox

I love the teal one, but they are both beautiful. The paper with the cross stitching is gorgeous!

Oh wow! Quite a contrast there Ros. The choice of the teal ink on the first card is so classy and the multi-cored softness of the distress inks on the second is so interesting. Awesome inspiration for the challenge. Hugs!

Both cards look amazing, Ros and this is such a beautiful stamp. I love your distress stains colouring. Did you dab the stains onto your craft matt or directly onto the stamp?
