Quilt Card for You

Good morning!
I hope your week started well ... Can't say mine did ...

My husband's elderly cousin broke her hip in April and though that has been replaced and she is mobile again -  she is still in hospital and has been shunted from one hospital to another whilst someone decides her future... I can't begin to tell you how many wards she has been in and each one tell us something different... Every ward has a different social worker and no one links up! It's a severe case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing and my monday morning began with another phone call from the 'latest social' worker who once again did not have the full history ... We really don't know where to turn at the moment ...  It's so frustrating ... enough of my problems ...

Today is City Crafter Challenge day and this week the lovely Char hosting for us with the theme
"Cottage Quilt"

Make a card or project with a Quilt Pattern using the colours in the Photo

We have the very talented Rudlis Guest designing with us following her win in week 161 ... Please pop over and visit her blog ... Her creations are amazing!

I cut squares from various papers to make my 'quilt' - I always make my projects in advance and originally we were going to do an American theme hence the stars and stripes

I made this card especially for all my beautiful blog friends in the USA who will shortly be celebrating Independence Day

Life is definitely so much better with you in it!

I do hope you'll come and join us this week ... Don't forget to stop by the City Crafter Blog to check out the projects from the rest of our designers

Have yourselves a beautiful day and keep safe

~ Ros ~

Sorry to hear there's more illness and struggling. Hope she gets some 'joined-up' care really quickly. Love love the quilt and how cool that its a US themed one. My eldest has a Stars and Stripes duvet cover and this reminds me of that. Very cool!

Gosh, that must be so frustrating indeed, not getting any answers... Oh, it´s the same everywhere, why don´t people just take their responsability as they should do... Hope you will soon find a solution though! Good luck to you my friend. Your patchwork card is superb! All of those fine papers are a perfect match and your stitches, wow! Well done!! Hugs, Ira xox

It's the same here in the states, my elderly Aunt was in a hospital/care unit and once they "took" all her life savings they booted her out, she is now in a place she hates, but we her son is trying to find her another, scares me about getting old I tell ya!!
Anywho, your card is beautiful, I would love to have a quilt that looked like that!! Once again City crafters has come up with a fun challenge!!
