CAS-ology

Hey there ...

I'm not sure where the week went but I'm popping in with a last minute card for the CASology challenge this week where the cue card is "Triangle"

I spent the whole day yesterday trying to do some organising in my little creative space and I came across the long abandoned double sided
embossing plates that came with my first Big Shot ... I hardly ever used them ... truth be told I wasn't sure about how to really ...

It occurred to me today that if I can rub ink on the normal embossing folders then maybe I could on these solid plates - so I did and this was the result

I really like the look ... like smeared paint, imperfect in places but nevertheless a nice effect

So a simple CAS card ... with triangles

Enjoy your weekend

Till soon

I really like the look you achieved here... beautiful... love the sparkly tree.
I've been meaning to start making Christmas cards but just can't get with it yet. Have been struggling with blogging in general... rarely visiting, only a few friends that are very dear to me. Seems very hard to comment. Am having a ball creating though... just can't stop making albums, layouts and encouragement cards. Have you ever gone through this?
Thanks for letting me vent, dear friend.
Hugs!!!

I have to admit when I first looked at your card, I was wondering what you used to create that cool effect, and after reading on I saw it was those EB plates....I "used" to have a tone of them myself, but sold them all on Ebay when I started buying EB folders!! Dang it...now I wish I had them, this is such a creative and pretty card....live and learn ...have a nice weekend my friend, hope things are going well...did you get my email??

So glad you found that plate cause this is pure delight. I love the imperfect look of the color and the tree embellie you used couldn't be more perfect. A treasure my friend. Hugs!
