Busy Times

Hello sweet friends

It's been a busy stressful week and more to come ...
But first I have a card to share that I made a couple of days ago for this week's
CAS-Ology challenge

This is virtually all digital ... I have been trying to learn some techniques in Print Shop and that fragmented and bubble edge effect of the digital paper is one of them

The butterfly is a PTI die and I used distress inks to colour it ...
As for Contrast, well, I have different fonts in the sentiment, Colour contrasts, and then the straight lines against the fragmented and bubble effects ...

In case you are interested, this is how the digital paper looked prior to using various techniques

The sentiment is quite apt for me at the moment so I am entering it at

Yesterday my DH had surgery to remove scar tissue from the back of his eye ... his vision was really bad and being very deaf does not help!
Oh the joys of getting old ...

Anyway he was extremely nervous ... more so than when he had his cataracts done ... As it turned out it was a blessing in disguise as they discovered a hole in the retina ... They repaired it but it means that he has to stay sitting in an upright position with his head still for a while ... Maybe 2 weeks - He's allowed up for 10 minutes in every hour to prevent blood clots ...

Needless to say I am running around and administering Meds so if I don't get to visit your blogs for a while ... please bear with me.

I am thrilled at all the lovely comments I received on my Candle Jar - Thanks so much!! It really means a lot ...

Lastly a Big Thank You to my sweet friend Kirsty who sent me this lovely gift and stunning card

A gorgeous tin filled with beautiful postcards and envelopes

I'm one lucky girl

Thanks for looking in on me today ...

Till soon take care

~ Ros ~

Ros, your digi card is so beautiful! I'm so impressed with your skills! I break out into a full flop sweat at the thought of doing digital crafting! With my goal not to even attempt it until I use up all my NBUS, it's a sure bet I'll never get around to it!

My sweet friend, I am so sorry for what you and your husband are going through with his recovery from eye surgery. Thank God they found the hole and were able to fix him up, but that will be an arduous two weeks and my prayers go out to both of you. This, too, shall pass. Take care of yourself while you are nursing and dealing with his needs. Huge hugs, Darnell

Hope your husband is better soon - and with all the annoyances now about sitting upright (what about sleeping??) you are right: so good they found that hole! Tell him to get "Get well soon!"
Your card, or rather the technique(s) you used amaze me... I admire you for always finding out about new things and trying them out.

Very cool effects and your card is lovely! Hope things settle down for you both soon!

Oh goodness I'm so glad they caught your hubby eye problem. Having to sit like that sounds so uncomfortable. It must be tough for him and you writing about him. Hope everything heals well with no problems. The effects you created on your card look amazing. I really need to learn more about that software myself. Hugs and prayers coming your way!

Ros, you are amazing!
I am so impressed with all of your talent and I am with Darnell. Digi is far too scary for me, but I am so intrigued at all of the beautiful cards and art objects that you create and decorate. You are one very clever and talented gal. You must have golden fingers :)
Please give your husband my very best wishes for a smooth recovery. Patience and love to you both.
