True Love Story

Hello!

I hope you had a great weekend and a good start to your week ...
Things are settling down here .. DH is doing well though still unable to do anything (or see anything) but the consultant is pleased with how the operation went ...

I was unable to join in with Our Beautiful World last Sunday and I really missed it ...

But I'm not going to miss out on the City Crafter Challenge where our hostess this week is the lovely Kirsty

The theme is Love Story
The challenge ... Make a Valentines project or use the word Story

This is a Valentine's card for my DH

I really love grey card stock - it blends so well with any colour - I paired this with some aqua paper from American Crafts ...  the words are cut from the paper

The side piece with the words "i love you" is another piece of the canvas from my redundant picture - told you I would be using this a lot

I had the wooden word "Love" but the little wooden heart is from a pack my friend Stella sent me ... it's so cute! And the gems from Freckled Fawn couldn't have blended better

Our Guest Designer this week is Tenia Nelson who won our challenge in week 192 ... She has a wonderful style ... please hop over to her blog and take a look

This week's winner will also have a GD spot with us so come and join us and don't forget to go visit CCCB and check out the beautiful creations from the rest of our DT

Thanks so much for stopping by and for your support to my DH and myself

Have a beautiful day

~ Ros ~

Beautiful card Ros - You do these colours brilliantly and, once again, so clever how you've utilitsed the canvas. Pleased to know DH is on the mend. When my father has his eye op he had to sit with his head down, in a hoop thing, for the majority of the time. He was staying with us and was a very badly behaved patient - totally unable to sit still!!!

Beautiful card Ross, not easy to do ones that will appeal to males, but this one is just perfect. I bet DH will love it!

Hi sweetie, happy to hear your DH is doing better. But still, take care the both of you...
Your card for him is beautiful. It's true, grey does combine very well with other colours. It makes them more vibrant but still has a soft feel to it.
Big hugs xx

The modern look of this card is amazing. Wooden embellishments are so trendy and besides that heart (glad you liked it)I am in awe of that wooden sentiment. Grey is the new white; you used it so well on this card!

Glad to hear your husband is on the mend; you both are going through a tough time with a lot of health issues and the worries and care that comes along with it. Take care of yourself. I am always looking forward to visit your blog and I am so happy to be back to blogging. And being able to be here more often.

Sending love and a big hug, take care. Know that I am thinking of you XXXXXXX

p.s. Liverpool-Everton; the Mercyside derby is tonight! MarcelXX is going to watch the game; he's looking forward to it. Hope the reds will win:)

What a perfect male Valentine's card! My highlight is the wooden "love" as the fact that it's wood draws on the inspirational picture somehow.
Hope your husband keeps improving "according to schedule" or even ahead of it!
