Dreaming of Peaceful Days ....

... Yep, that's me
Every day seems to throw up a new challenge ... And I'm not talking craft challenges
I'd like to say I'm longing for normality around here but I can't remember what that is anymore

I've dealt with broken appliances, car problems, broken glasses, sick cats and an incapacitated husband ... I've run around to so many hospital appointments I feel like part of the staff ...

Having now got Gipsy fit and well, the little ginger cat turned up with a nasty injury to his foot ... I had been dreading having to take him to the vet ... He's been a stray for a long time and I didn't want to have to break his trust just yet... Even though I needed to get him neutered ... But fate intervened and so yesterday he was neutered, had his foot cleaned and was vaccinated ...
We brought him home at about 4.30 and he was so eager to get out ... I managed to keep him in until 8.30pm when the anaesthetic had worn off but had to let him go then ... So far he hasn't returned and I am worried sick ... I need to get pain killers into him so I am keeping my fingers crossed he returns safe and well.

So, Monday was my friend's anniversary ... I made the card a while ago and posted it here ... You know what I'm going to say don't you? Yes, when I came to get the card out on Sunday it was gone ... nowhere to be found ... How does that happen?? I searched everywhere ... but looking for a card in a room filled with card and paper ... Yeh right! The worst thing ... my mojo took a hike too! I could have easily recreated the original but - forgive the pun - I hadn't the heart to. After hours of pulling my hair out I did create a card ... and yes it's very like the original

I added the little black cat in the hope of good luck ... for me really Lol!

Well I'm going to love you and leave you now ... there are 3 places I need to be ... at one time

I hope you are having a better 2014 than I am ...

Till soon take care

~ Ros ~

Uh-oh, you do sound exasperated - I hope things improve at all levels for you soon! The ginger cat will return... and if he doesn't feel enough pain to think better of it and retun home, he's probably not in need of the painkillers. Anyhow, your card is so, so beautiful and the cat is a nice touch!

oh Ros, I do feel for you and I do know what you feel like. Unfortunately this is just life. I once wished for ordinary and did not like that result, so now I just leave it in God's hands and know that I will just have to learn to deal with it all! I will keep you in my prayers and hope that it all gets better.I hope you are having a better day and that your ginger cat comes home soon. Happy Wednesday!

Oh dear. I sure hope that you get a break soon. When it rains, it sometimes pours, but we need to look for rainbows. I hope the ginger cat has returned for his medicine and I hope that your husband is doing better.
Wishing you a calm day!

Oh my poor Ros. I don't know how you aren't needing a bit of health care yourself. No rest for the weary huh. :-( The second card is just as wonderful. Love the soft aquas. You know that card is going to show up as soon as you quit looking. :-) Hugs!

Oh, you poor thing... sometimes you'd wish you were an octopus with so many hands! But life usually comes in cycles, doesn't it, so that means you will soon be in tranquil waters again ;-) Love the card you made for your friend, it's so elegant and stylish, so you!

Shame Ros, really sounds like you have been through the wringer! I have had a few of those this year too...but hopefully I am now out on the other side and hoping you will soon be too! Loving that card....so beautiful and the little black cat is the perfect addition! ;-)

Ah, now I see. I am VERY glad your kitty returned home so you could get meds in him. :)

The black cat for good luck on the card is such a neat idea! We have a black cat now, named Cristabel. She was a stray from an inner city close by. She wound up in a local pet store that helps adopt out cats. When we got her, she was 1.5 years old, and was considered unadoptable because she's black and was not a kitten. Geez! We love her so much.
