Lucky

Hello again ...
This is my second post today ... If you are looking for my post on
Please scroll down....

I just wanted to post a card I made for this weeks challenge at CAS.ology

Of course I just had to use a black cat ...

This looks just like my cat from the back

I love the challenges at CAS.ology ... they really test me and I love seeing the DT samples and everyone else's take on the cue card

I hope you're having a great day ... It's Mother's Day here and I've got some beautiful flowers from my lovely son and my DH so I'm certainly very lucky!

Till soon

Bloom

Hello ...
It's Mothering Sunday here in the UK

Happy Mother's Day!!

It's a beautiful day and in my garden ...
Everything is coming into bloom

Bloom is the prompt word this week at

Picked for us by Bonita ...

She couldn't have picked a better word - I love photographing flowers and trees - they make such wonderful subjects

I love how they gently unfurl their petals and leaves as they come into Bloom

I love to see the trees come to life ... overnight they transform

so that in the blink of an eye there is blossom everywhere

Who could not smile at their colourful beauty?

An orchestra of delicate bells

... and trumpets

That the birds sing along to as they build their nests

The most wonderful time is when Bloom happens
Is it happening in your part of the world?

And have a beautiful day

EDIT ........ Picmonkey

I see that some of you have a problem using Picmonkey lately ... You may be getting a message that says your browser is Vintage

To Correct This

All you need to do is open another browser ... My Mac is set to open in Safari but by downloading  Firefox I can open this as my browser instead of Safari and Picmonkey will work perfectly

I hope this helps you.

Box Cards and Cats

Hi there ...
How's your week been?
It's been another busy one here ... Monday my brother was here replacing a radiator and at the same time my Ginger cat had a really bad fight with another cat in the garden ... I don't know about the other cat but Ginger was bleeding. He was agitated all day which didn't bode well when Gipsy came in ... somehow they settled down amicably which was a relief. Then at 4am this morning I let Ginger cat out and heard another fight break out ... There I was in the garden in my PJ's making sure Ginger cat was ok and of course Gipsy followed me and had to butt in ... snarling and hissing ...
Oh give me a dog anytime!

Through the week with the help of my friend Pat, we finally completed 20+ box card projects for my special needs group to make tonight

Here's a peek at some of the ones they will be making

There are enough embellishments for them to make Birthday ones, Mother's Day ones or just one to say Hello

Until we met about 6 months ago, my friend Pat had never done any paper crafting nor had she worked with special needs and now she just loves both ... and I'm loving sharing the things I've learnt with her

We giggled a lot putting these together ... Once I'd cut everything out, between us we fill individual envelopes for each of the group so that everything they need is in their envelope ... any fiddly bits we do first and mark where the papers have to be stuck down ...
We make a few 'samples' for them to copy and that's it...
All I need to do now is go and get some new glues ...

It's going to be a fun night and I'm looking forward to it

I hope you all have a great day

Till soon be safe

Our Beautiful World

Hello ...

It's time for a new word prompt at Our Beautiful World

Milagros has chosen for us this week ... Her prompt is
Rainbow

There is something magical about a rainbow don't you think? No matter how many I've seen throughout my life ... they still hold a fascination

It's so easy to live in a bubble ... feet on the ground, head filled with day to day stuff...
Taking a moment to stop and look at a rainbow is taking a pause ... the mind falls silent for a while. We look up to the sky and witness this beauty in the universe both of which have no beginning and no end ... A colourful reminder that we are tiny parts of something so great, so vast ...

We are not just the road, the house, the life we live... We are part of something so much more ... We are so much more

So if you are driving along ... maybe a little frustrated or anxious as the rain pours down and suddenly a rainbow appears ... remember to take a little pause and breathe ...

Even in the darkest of skies magic happens ... and in the great scheme of things our troubles are small

And have a beautiful day

Spring Lambs

Friday is here once again ...
The week has flown by don't you think

I was at the club last night though it was not me doing the project this week ... I don't do them every week now because it is so much work but I thought you'd like to see the last project I did for them ... A little notebook and a card for Spring

Now I can't take the credit for this design ... It was something I had bookmarked a long time ago
from the talented Jak Heath

I can tell you that even with the help of my friend Pat, it took hours and hours to cut out all those pieces for a group of 20+ people
And given that they are Special Needs ... we decided that it would be best to assemble the faces for them to just stick on ... there were eyes flying everywhere! I make life difficult for myself don't I ...

Next week we are going to do box cards that I'm seeing at lot of lately ... I thought they'd be nice for Mother's Day which is on the 30th of this month ... not that many of them still have a Mum but they can use their own sentiment
You can guess what I'll be doing this weekend then ... cutting and punching and cutting and punching

I hope you have a lovely weekend ...

Till soon take care

Mwah!

Ok... Call me crazy
This is a quick second post ...
Another very CAS card for CAS.ology

Seeing as how my DH has been out in the wind tidying the garden ... A little Thank You

It doesn't get any simpler!

Kissing card ... yeh, I'm crazy

CAS.ology Challenge

Hi there!

There's a cold wind today though at least we have sunshine ... The daffodils are taking a battering and the forecast is another cold spell going to -8C ... Not looking forward to that!
But hey, I know a lot of you have struggled with worse weather this winter

The Cue card this week at CAS.ology is Blush

That makes me feel a bit warmer ... So here's a quick card that I put together

A little bit of stamping in both distress stain (spun sugar) and Archival (platinum planet) ink to mimic the strip of paper cut from a page

I die cut the stars and they somehow remind me of star fish looking at them now

I found it hard not to add a little more here but the challenge is CAS ... well it was simple

I hope you're having a good day

Stay safe ... and warm

Till soon

~ Ros ~

Here Come Spring

Hello and good morning!
I do hope you are having a good start to the week

Our Host this week at City Crafter is Anna
Her theme is Spring in the Garden

and Anna is asking that this week we
Create a card or project that includes an element(s) of the garden
e.g. Seed packet, flower pot, tools

I chose to alter one of those large pegs that has been hiding in my cupboard for a long time

It holds a photo of my great nephew and niece that was taken in my garden

I fussy cut some flowers and plant pots and added another flower some punched leaves and of course my cat along with some scraps of paper and a bit of lace

The die cut bird and lamp post were also hiding in my scraps

We have the lovely Sylwia guesting with us again this week so I hope you'll hop over to the CCCB Blog and take a look at all the projects from the DT

We also have a generous sponsor this week

My Craft Spot store is offering a Stamp Set of choice to our winner!
Please take a moment to go visit the store and the Blog ... there are some fabulous projects and amazing goods...
Note that due to shipping costs this prize can only be sent to a US Addressee

We're looking forward to seeing your projects this week ...

Have a beautiful day and thanks for looking in...

Till soon

Green

Hello...

It's time for a new word prompt at

And this week I picked the word which is simply ...

Green

It's St Patricks Day tomorrow ... not that we celebrate it, but I love shades of green and I'm longing for the trees to be covered once again in fresh green leaves ... for now I have to be content with what is around me...

The bright beautiful moss green that cover the old twigs of last years lavender shrub

and the richer shade that appear on the tree branches making them look like a view of the planet from space

The 'oh so tiny' shoots that sprout up after a rainfall

The dark all year round green of the pine contrasting with the all year round glossy leaves of the Laurel

Some of which are also sprouting

I love the many shades of green nature has to offer ... and none more so than those dew kissed greens that burst into yellow

... A promise of Spring to come

Have a lovely Sunday and link up your "Green"photos with us at

Till soon

~ Ros ~

Birthday Girl

Hello...

Spring just cannot make up it's mind about visiting this part of the UK ... It looks like Spring but it feels cold

Still I'm playing about with some Spring colours... A friend celebrates her birthday tomorrow and that means the girls meet for lunch ...

Here's the card I made for her

I used up some scraps and also added some paint splats
which qualifies for the challenge at Dutch Card Lovers this week - (Thanks to Sue for the heads up)  I've never entered a challenge there before, but some of my best blog buddies are Dutch and the DT cards are amazing

... and I found a whole box of sequins tucked away in a drawer so finally I'm getting into the sequin 'thing' Lol!

I hope you're having a good day ...

Till soon
