Let's go to the beach with City Crafter

Hi there and Happy July!

It's my turn to host the challenge at City Crafter today...
Having recently been at the beach I am asking that this week you
Create a card or project with a Beach theme

We have a generous sponsor this week ... Deedee's Digis who will be giving away 3 digi sets to our winner...

Click the link to see their lovely designs

For my project this week I made a Beach Hut box and a little album with photos from our beach holiday at Santa Ponca last month

I made the box from cardstock after printing the woodgrain effect ... Then for the front I adhered a piece of coloured scrapbook transparency (for the sea) to a piece of white CS together with a piece of a napkin (woodgrain with the word beach)

After cutting a triangle shape for the roof - I added a scalloped edging, twine, a flag and a die cut birdie then embellished with some 3D stickers from my supplies
This is the back with the album inside

The anchor and the word 'photos' are both cut on the Cameo using vinyl

The album is simply done ... I used my Cameo to cut stamp shaped pages from black cardstock to which I adhered some photos

I used a thick transparency for the front and back covers and again used vinyl for the words ... A small piece of ribbon and some Washi tape and it was done -

This photo shows you how the album slots into the back of the box

Our Guest designer this week is the super talented Ela winner of week 206 ... I can't wait to see what she has created ... hop on over to her Blog to see her lovely work
And don't forget to see what my fellow DT have created up on the

I am entering this project in the Summer Lovin' Challenge at Catered Crop

I hope it fits the bill

Thanks so much for your visit ... Have a lovely day

Oh, I love it! Such a great idea and made to perfection... The only downside: you might be tempted to look at the "box" more than at the actual memories insice ;-)
