Gates

Good morning!

Time for a new word prompt at

Chosen for us by the lovely Manuela ... The prompt is

Gate

Now here's some famous Gates ... Not that far from where I live is Mendips ... The house that John Lennon grew up in ... This is the house with the original features including the Gates.
Every day of the week tourists from all over the world make their way to Mendips ... some take the tour bus others take local transport

This set of Gates was in Majorca ... They have many ornate Gates

I often wished I kept my DH behind these Gates at Palma Cathedral ...

My life would have been so peaceful Lol!

This last photo always tears at my heart ...

No longer able to walk far my beautiful dog Holly would sit all day behind that baby Gate waiting for Mikey to return from the USA ... A few days after this was taken and just 2 weeks before Mikey's homecoming I had to make the decision to put my beloved girl to sleep ... She had cancer and I couldn't bear to see her suffer ... I still have that Gate

So there you have it ... My photos for this week's prompt
I hope you will share with us this week and take a look at all the photos up on the Blog

Enjoy your day

~ Ros ~

Hi Ros, that last photo is priceless and wonderful memory of your special Holly. Just ordinary gates there at the Lennon home but very famous. Cheers and enjoy your week Robyn

The style of Mendips is one of my favourite housing styles.
It reminds me so much of where I grew up...not very far from you.

I was going to ask if that first photo is your house when you first emailed it to me, oh wow, didn't know it is a famous one! The photo of Ian behind "bars" is funny, and you were right, that last picture sure makes one weep, I bet it is sad to see that gate every time!

Hi Ros,
wonderful post, with all the different stories behind the gates shots.
I am sorry about your loss of your beloved Holly. A dog is a wonderful friend, you will keep she in your heart forever. It was the right decision to exonerate her from suffering.
I wish you a good week, Manuela

Beautiful photo's and the one of your dog will always be a wonderful memory of her. Losing the life of a pet is hard, even harder when we have to make that decision. Have a wonderful Monday, thinking of you1

Beautiful photos of gates! And, the one with your husband behind the gate with your comment...too funny!:-) Last photo is sweet of your German Shepherd. I had a cocker spaniel who is now gone. It still tugs at my heart when I think of the sweet guy. Take care and have a great week!:-)

Again you have chosen such a great variety of looks for the theme. I know it makes you sad to see your pup but you obviously have wonderful memories of her to cherish. Hugs!
