Festive

Good morning!

I'm just squeezing in with a card for CAS.ology where the theme is Festive

The team there have joined in with Tracey's 25 Tags of Christmas ... My, there is some wonderful inspiration on her blog ... you ought to hop over and take a look!

So ... I enrolled at the Holiday Card Workshop 2014 and this card is based on one of the samples by the amazing Debby Hughes

The card was splattered with gold paint and for the tag I mixed some ink with water and dipped the tag into it

I added some 'fluffy stuff' for the snow effect and cut a poinsettia from gold patterned vellum

The die cut word 'joy' I cut several times and adhered them together just to give it that raised look ...
I have to confess that this is the only card I made based on the classes ... Time just wasn't on my side last week and now one of my brothers has just had another heart attack so the family dramas continue ... He's doing ok right now and we are hoping that all will be well.

Have a lovely day and I'll be back tomorrow

Till soon

Wow Ros, so gorgeous! I am loving the aqua and gold together, it's so elegant! Great idea, dipping the tag in diluted ink! Your vellum poinsettia is one of the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen, WOW! Love it all! hugs :)

I'm sorry to hear about this latest scare, Roz, and I hope your brother recovers completely. Your tag card is breathtaking! I'm so in love with the poinsettia, but the splatters, joy, and dipped tag are making my eyes dance happily, too!! Hugs, Darnell

First of all I'd like to apologize for being MIA for more than a week, but we were in Germany (partly work, partly fun) and now in the midst of rebuilding the upper floors. Hence my absence. But I will try to visit you whenever I can Ros. Even though I won't be able to every time you put up a new post. But when I do, I am able to enjoy your lovely work again and you most certainly have made such wonderful creations. Always a pleasure to see them! How is your brother doing right now? Gosh, you don't seem to get any rest now do you... Take care, hugs, Ira xox
