Shrinking Die Cuts

Hi there!

I mentioned that I was following an online class "Stretch Your Dies" and I make no excuses for this being a busy card ... I had no idea that you could shrink those big old die cuts using plain foam and couldn't wait to get right to it using the things on my desk

On a card this size (4x6) I would normally only be able to fit one of the larger die cuts but after seeing the tutorial by Jennifer McGuire I was enlightened and amazed ...

I coloured the white foam word "hello" using a Promarker and it looks just like suede!
I'm getting out all those old foam sheets I had pushed to the back of my supplies and I'll definitely be using this idea again...

Spring has paid us a visit today and it's wonderful! The sun is shining, birds are singing and Ginger cat is sun bathing in the garden ...
I hope it's a good day where you are

Hugs

Wow Ros, I love the depth of the die cuts...so pretty....I have some old foam sheets too...looks like a very fun class!! Yes, we have sun here too, which is very good, but it does show what I need to do, wash windows and dust....but I will take the happy sun anyday!!

I love this... and definitely not too busy!!! You certainly have a knack for picking beautiful color combinations!
Am interested in that class. Although I'm doing two right now, I'm retired... I can squeeze in another, right?
Have a wonderful day, my friend!

So sorry for missing out on so many wonderful posts here dear Ros, but we spent an unexpected week in Valencia at Las Fallas, celebrating my DH's birthday ;-) You have been so creative as usual, your cards and creations are always such a treat and a real pleasure to look at! Love your fun new techniques! Sending hugs, Ira xox

It's past my bedtime, so I just scrolled through them to the first ... all of your homework cards are A++++, Ros! I have to wait to get some non-adhesive-backed foam to try the shrinking. It looks amazing!! Hugs, Darnell
