Our Beautiful World

Hello again...

It's time for a new prompt at

This week Robyn picked the prompt
"Life is like a box of chocolates ... You never know what you gonna get"

After much thought I came up with this

My husband is a big fan of Everton FC (the Blues) whilst I support the opposing team Liverpool FC (the Reds) However, I have been with him to see his team play a few times as a corporate guest
Well, football is so unpredictable you never know what you are going to get
Kind of like our weather ... One day its starts so sunny and encouraging then within minutes the skies go grey ...

See what I mean ... The rain has flattened all the pretty flowers

But see what is hiding in the background?

Lily of The Valley ... At least that has survived and a few Forget me Nots

I never know what I'm going to get after each winter ... Last year my Lilac tree was covered in beautiful blooms ... This year ... Not a single one ... sigh

Go visit the Blog and see what my friends have come up with this week and link up your photos with us at

Enjoy your day

Hi Ros, a lovely post and like show you interpreted the theme...hubby is watching football right now and it can go either way. I do love the flower photos and it reminds me also of the flowers that pop up in my garden unexpectedly. Have a lovely week hugs Robyn

Sorry to hear you've been having fits with the rain there. As I look out the window I believe we are about to get a bit ourselves. I always love that clean smell afterwards but it is rather harsh on the poor flowers. Hugs!

I got two flowers on my lilac. It's a sucker shoot from the tree next door. This is the first time it has flowered in eight years....worth the wait.
I once saw a Liverppol , Chelsea match played on Liverpool's home ground. I was about 17. I loved it, though I don't follow football at all really.
It's nice to see little survivors poking their lovely heads through the greenery. My garden is full of white bluebells and forget- me- nots at the moment. We have so much sun here, the garden always looks a picture in spring.

Do you argue and fight about football?
:)

More fun photos...the flowers are so pretty....this year our lilacs bloomed wonderfully, until the rains hit, now they are droopy...guess that is life/nature for ya!!
