City Crafter 302, NBUS & SSS

Good Morning!
We've had frosty mornings followed by sunshine these past few days - It's cold but the sunshine makes such a difference...
DH has gone off to Spain for a golfing holiday and to use a quote I saw on Pinterest
"I am currently unsupervised and the possibilities are endless"

So... Today is the start of a new challenge over at City Crafter and we have Kirsty hosting for us
The theme is
I'm Working on my PhD (Projects Half Done)

The challenge is to complete a half done project that was sitting in your craft room for awhile

When I have no inspiration one of the things I tend to do is experiment with inks and paints ... I play around and then the piece are just left, so that was the basis for my card

I die cut the flowers and butterfly from my painted pieces and the crackled brickwork was me experimenting with crackle paste

I made this card for friends of mine who celebrated 48 years of marriage recently... A little different from your average anniversary card but they loved it

Our Guest Designer this week is Evy winner of week 296 ... Do click the link and go visit her lovely blog
Our team at CCCB have more projects to share so go take a look and link up your projects with us this week.

I am also entering this card at Darnell's NBUS Challenge - The dies are new as is the crackle paste

Over at Simon Says Stamp, the monday challenge is make your own background so I think this qualifies for that challenge too

Ok...Have a beautiful day and I'll be back in the week
Take care
~ Ros ~

Hi Ros
Long time with no contact....I love your quote about being solo for a while.
That's a difficult theme to design for.
I wouldn't know where to start.
I love the blues you are using, I think it must be one of your favourites.
Enjoy the sunshine, watch out though, it promotes spring cleaning.

Beautiful blues and yellows. Love the inlaid flowers and the glittery sentiment. The background and butterfly are perfect in this design. Beautiful as always.

I love the pieces you used for this card. You and watercoloring are a perfect pair. And the subtle shades are gorgeous. This flower die is gorgeous; it seems like they are "waving" above the sentiment ( is that English; do you know what I mean?)
Sending love,

Ros, I absolutely ADOOOORE your card! The background texture is superb and the composition is so light and gorgeous! Wow! And if I'd known getting my PhD would be so easily achieved, I would have started ages ago! Until the next level of PhD...lol :) x

What a beautiful finish! Love that brickwork background, the trail of blooms, and scrumptious, glitter bits! I tend to toss bits that I play with, but you've inspired me to collect them.
