CAS Watercolour

Hello...

Well, hubby and I had a wonderful holiday and now I'm home and already I've caught a head cold, I guess I need to go back Lol!

Visiting some of my blog friends this week I discovered a new monthly challenge called CAS Watercolour

What a great idea for a challenge and one I had to join in. The first challenge as you can see is Autumn and here's what I came up with

It's definitely challenging for me to make it CAS and original... In the end I used Gansai Tambi paints in various autumnal shades on watercolour paper and when it was dry I took a Tim Holtz scribble and splat die to cut out the horizontal shapes.

Then I used a Memory Box die to cut out a tree and painted it with gold metallic paint

So that's my version of CAS watercolour ... I'm already looking forward to the next challenge.

I hope you are enjoying your day and my thoughts are with those of you affected by the recent hurricane... Be safe!

Your autumn scene is beautiful. In another colour scheme, it would make a wonderful christmas card.
Have a great weekend.

Very unique and creative design Ros. Love the watercoloured, die-cut background with beautiful tree. The texture on your card base adds something special as well. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour!

I thought of you immediately when I saw this challenge. It's perfect for you, and this card proves it! Love the texture of the white paper you used. Looked for those scribble dies when I was out the other day, but the shop I was in didn't have this exact set. I do love it, and with the bare tree -- WOW!
