Highland Deer

Hello...

My husband's cousin celebrates a birthday this week... She lives in Scotland and though I've never met her, we have talked many times on the phone ... We keep saying that we must make a journey to see her, but somehow something always gets in the way...

Here's the card I made for her

Just loose watercolouring with Gansai Tambi paints and a frame cut on my Cameo.

The last time I was in Scotland, many years ago, we saw lots of beautiful deer and stags... Such majestic animals... This one was also cut on the Cameo and painted

The sentiment is from a PTI die and cut from watercolour card that I painted first with gold paint and left to dry before cutting.

Are you looking forward to the weekend? I am ... I've been up very early this last week due to the decorating work we are having done and other than the club I haven't been out of the house at all. So tomorrow I get to have a later start and perhaps a little retail therapy Lol! My hubby's DIL is doing well and hopefully she can also go home this weekend...

Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by

Till soon

You always make me want to watercolor. This is so gorgeous, and I love a nature scene, anyway. It's good to hear things are returning to more "normal" at your house. I'm waiting every day for my new stamp room window. Up in the air because of the rain and can't make any plans till it's done. Your house is so beautiful I can't imagine what needed to be decorated.

You've made a beautiful card for your husband's cousin Ros. I love the frame around your beautiful background, it almost seems as if the wind blows the snow around...gorgeous.

That background Ros! I can feel the cold air and see the deer stepping cautiously through the snow. Beautiful scene. :-)
