It's that time of year

Good morning...

Believe it or not I have a Christmas card to share today... I know, I know...
See, it's that time of year and if you are like me and want to get your DT work done in advance (so as not to panic) well, there's bound to be Christmas cards on the agenda. So I've been making a few using the TH tree dies and the negative pieces were just staring at me... Oh they are so pretty, I think I love the negative more than the positive -  I just had to grab my inks and do some stencilling

I used 2 different distress inks and then decided to put some vellum over the top which gives it a really soft look

and the tree die, cut in shiny silver, isn't lost in the background

The only problem I encountered was that the vellum is not the kind you can stamp on but it did work for embossing

Well, that's one down - only 100 to go Lol!

Have a great day ... Thanks so much for stopping by

Gasp! This is a work of art, Ros! If you make all your Ccs this fabulous, you might just as well skip this year and call them cards for 2017! At any rate that's what I would have to do if my cards were this glamorous, rather than the simple stamped CAS OLCs that they are! I'm in awe of you, once again!! Hugs, Darnell

What a beautiful card. Love how it has all come together. The vellum works so well and great idea to sponge through the negative die. The pop of shiny silver is just perfect...Loving this one Ros. Looking forward to seeing the next 100!!! x

Oh, my word! Why is there always one more cool die I think I have to have? This is so beautiful with the foggy trees in the background. Stroke of genius to use the negative as a stencil. Such a beautiful tree die. Gorgeous, gorgeous card!

Way cool look Ros. The silver really makes that tree pop and the vellum was a great idea. It really softens the background so prettily. Yes vellum can be a real stinker to stamp on. Hugs!
