Bicycle

Good morning...

This week's prompt at Our Beautiful World is

Bicycle

Whilst on holiday last year I spotted these gorgeous bicycles at the entrance to a hotel, I took the shots with my phone so they aren't marvellous

But I would love a bicycle like this

Not that I would ever cycle on our roads .. It's just too dangerous here with so much traffic
Not so when I was a child, I cycled everyday and here's a photo of me with my first two wheeler

The eagled eyed amongst you will notice that it wasn't new and it has a crossbar... It was my older brothers' bicycle and I was thrilled when it came to me

I even have a canvas in my bedroom with a bicycle on...

Hop on over to Our Beautiful World Blog to see what the rest of the team are sharing, we would love it if you linked your Bicycle photos too

Have a wonderful day

Oh wow ... love how the hotel used the bikes as decoration! What a fabulous photo ... my first 2 wheeler was also a hand-me-down. My older sister won a brand new bike at the county fair so I got her old bike. Dad gave it a new coat of spray paint so I could call it MINE! Happy memories ... thanks!

What a great post, Ros! I love the photos, especially the sweet photo of you as a child, so thrilled to have your own two-wheeler and never mind that it was a boy's bike. We lived less in fear of what other's might think back in the day before the twitternet, didn't we?! And your card is sighably wonderful! You did an amazing job CASEing the for-reals bike!! Hugs, Darnell

What a beautiful hotel entrance! Yes, it would be fun to have a bicycle like that, but you'd have to always have the basket of flowers on it. We used to ride bikes a lot, but now that we're in town we don't at all. I don't even like walking the dogs near a busy street. Love the picture of you as a little girl. So cute! I taught myself on my brother's bike. Sat on the back fender and pedaled. Weird, right? But graduated to the seat. My folks wouldn't buy me a bike until I learned to ride on my brother's. Enjoyed these photos, Ros!

Fabulous pictures Ros, beautiful bikes and so fun to see you as a young girl on your bike!! I never had a new bike of my own, mine were always hand me downs too, until 2 years ago when my hubby and I bought new bikes for the lake house, and we got the old school kind with just pedals to break with, no fancy gears so it is great exercise for this OLD body..lol!!

Fabulous bicycle photos Ros, love those white bikes with the baskets full of pink flowers.... do remember my first two wheel - it was second hand too and took me many miles through my secondary school years.
