Our Beautiful World

The prompt this week at Our Beautiful World is

Outside

It may be mid winter but there are a few things stirring in the garden outside... If you look closely, there are signs of new beginnings

Amid the remnants of Autumn, daffodil shoots are appearing...

And in the dull and drab coat that January wears, a little colour struggles to survive the cold and rain

Every morning I come outside to feed the birds and they wait patiently

Calling out when breakfast is served

I don't have a fancy camera... Just a little digital that I grab when I can and shoot on zoom through my window, and I was happy to at least get a shot of the new squirrel babies that use the trees as an outside playground

They are so quick!

In a few weeks I'm hoping to see greener outside, daffodils swaying in the breeze and Spring on the horizon...

Share your photos with us this week at

Our Beautiful World

Have a lovely day

A bit grey today up in Scotland and no signs of life in my garden, so it was lovely to admire yours x Great pictures of the squirrels, you are lucky to catch them on camera. Thanks for sharing x

Beautiful photos of the outside world! I see traces of spring with the daffodils that will soon appear! Awesome photos of the bird and squirrel, too! It looks like a spring day here in NW Ohio...temperatures anyways. No flowers trying to peek out yet. I would certainly welcome an early spring!:-)

You make me want to go outside and take a closer look around the garden. These days I see nothing but deer ravage. Those primroses are so pretty!

Always love your pictures, Ros! Just noticed new shoots in my neighbor's flower bed next to our mailbox! We have squirrels that look just like yours & they drive Fritz crazy on our walks! Good thing he's always on a leash!

Even though I live in California, but we are having snow since the last few days, since I live at a higher altitude! So, no stirrings outside for me yet:) Thanks for your comment for OBW.
Also, am inviting you to ALL SEASONS from Sunday through Wednesday evening 7pm, Pacific time, it's about any experience in the season (pleas do not use a photo that you use for OBW - thanks!) Hope to see you there!
