City Crafter 352

Hello there...

This week's challenge at City Crafter is hosted for us by Kirsty - The theme is
Tutti Frutti

'Create a project that includes a fruit'

I don't make many cards with fruit on them ... It's not really the kind of card we Brits send each other I suppose, fortunately I did have a pineapple stamp and die that came free with a magazine so here's my card

The flowers were part of a digital image that I separated from the full image which allowed me to play around and group them the way I wanted. I then printed, coloured and fussy cut them before adding glossy dimensional.

I stamped, cut and coloured the pineapple, then I sponged and splattered a base to mount it on together with the flowers before stamping my sentiment

Our team have more inspiration up on the blog for you - Do go take a look

Have a wonderful day!

I admire how you use digi stamps, Ros--this is gorgeous! I don't use fruit on cards either, but you've shown how they can be used for a wonderful card!

Wow, Ros, this is gorgeous! You came up with an amazing beauty for this challenge, but you always ace it. Way to manipulate that digi. Love the pineapple tucked into a bed of flowers. Beautiful coloring, too. I like fruit images and even vegetables, but I'm never quite sure in what context to use them on a card. "Sweet" sentiments like this work great for fruit, but what does one do with veggies?

I guess fruit is not very German, either. I can't remember ever having used a fruit image... mmmh. Anyhow, I love your card! Makes me want to have fresh pineapple right now.

Such a sweet card. Lovely layout and layering of those pretty flowers and the pineapple. Yes I don't do fruit cards much either and Hadn't realised it's perhaps because we live in the UK xxx Those gorgeous flowers look fabulous with the fruit and the splats x

What a wonderful card Ros! I love the pineapple image, so different and unique but delightful sitting in a lovely bouquet of flowers! Great dimension and what a perfect sentiment to go with the image. hugs :)

I don't do much fruit cards either besides a get well card with an apple. Based on the saying "an apple a day keeps the doctor away" LOL. But you nailed it. How clever to only use a part of a digi. That pineapple looks fab!
