Summer

Hi there ...

The new challenge at CAS Watercolour for the month of June is Summer

Whenever I think of summer, I think of the beach and the sea so this is my contribution to the challenge

I did a similar version of this card a few years ago which is in a frame - For some reason I am always drawn to a worn and weathered boat on the shore... The many thoughts and feelings it evokes

I copied the boat from a picture I saw on a colouring page and just used Gansai Tambi paints to work with. I keep promising myself to make a large version that I can hang on the wall but so far that hasn't happened...

The sentiment was computer generated

I hope you have a lovely day ... We still have wind and rain here but it's not cold

Till soon

Wow, what a beautiful card. Great job painting/watercolouring the boat and the whole scene. A larger version of this on your wall would be a beautiful decor piece.

You're amazing, Ros! This is so very realistic in a painterly kind of way. You've got skills with the paints and pen, for certain! I can imagine a larger version hanging on your wall. Just beautiful!

Gorgeous watercoloured scene, Ros. The ocean and sand are beautifully done, and your boat is amazing. Love the weathered look. It definitely is a work of art and should be hanging on the wall. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour! xx
