Weddings

Good morning...

Weddings is the theme for the new challenge at Double D where team Darlene are hosting
Here's the tile board to inspire you

Wedding cards and baby cards are my least favourite to make - I much prefer everyday cards, but last month my friend got married and having made all the invitations and Save the Date cards for her which I shared here - I had to make her a wedding card too. Eventually I came up with this one

Gold and silver splattering and lots of die cuts. A die cut heart, which I cut twice to inlay the gold glitter card with the white... The little birds were part of another die but they work well together

Some tulle and lots of gems... Then I made a box to put it in

It's only when I put this photo on here that I noticed the word 'May' hasn't printed properly... Argh! Hopefully she didn't notice Lol!

Both teams have created lovely projects to inspire you and you can see them up on the Double D Blog.
Enter your creation and you can be in with a chance to win this

Wishing you a safe a happy day

Certainly didn't notice the 'May' Ros. Such a unique and thoughtful card. The die cuts are so pretty. Love the idea of the tulle, which picks up on the blue ribbon (shape) from the save the date cards. To also make the box makes it extra special and I am sure would have been a great keepsake for the happy couple. Sorry to read that you are stepping down from the Team x

This is absolutely beautiful and perfect with the gold, silver, white, and tulle. And, ohhhh, that beautiful heart with the birds added... divine! And the box, too! Double wow! You put a lot of work into your friend's wedding. I doubt she even noticed the missing tail on the "May". I didn't!

Just today a colleague asked me if I had any wedding cards in stock and I answered about the same: they are so hard to make - but you created a stunningly beautiful card!

I got so excited when I saw your Schnauzer pup yesterday that I totally missed this post! Well, no one would know you aren't fond of making wedding cards, Ros--one of the most gorgeous I've ever seen! I know your friend treasures it! She probably won't notice the May until she's looking at it again on an anniversary--I didn't see it until you pointed it out. Love the inlaid gold & white heart with the love birds--perfection!

How gorgeous!!! And I LOVE that you made a box with the bride and groom's names. How very clever. Your die cuts are just beautiful, and the gold is perfect. So sorry to see you go, Ros, hope you will not be a stranger to Double D. I always love your work.

I love this card, Ros. The netting and the beautiful heart die with the love birds are gorgeous, and the gold and silver glitter paper and the rhinestones are the perfect finishing touches. The box is lovely and something to be treasured. It is so funny but I often see mistakes in my photos that I never see otherwise. I am sure she will not notice.
