Updates

Good morning!
I hope this finds you well....

It's been almost a week since I posted due to my computer being updated. I love my desk top Mac but the system was old and over time I found less programs supported it... Time for a change and thank goodness for my amazing son Mikey. He spent days backing up everything and installing a new up to date system for me. Then it meant reinstalling and navigating my way around the new system....There were a few hiccups but I'm getting there.

I haven't been idle though, I picked up my crochet hooks and made a few things

A sweet owl baby

Isn't he adorable?

The pattern for this came from Here and there are alternatives using the basic 'doll' pattern which I hope to make too

I also made this one which I call Little Ant

I didn't have a pattern for this... I just improvised

And I used up some odd wool to make a little owl bag...

...Using a pattern from Here

It's just wonderful that people share their videos, patterns and talent so that people like me can actually learn 'how to'

In addition to these I've packed up 3 projects for next term at Thursday Club, so no slacking here Lol!

Pat is coming over in a few hours so we will be pulling out the papercrafting stuff...

Sending you warm wishes for a beautiful day

Hurrah for Mikey getting you all set up! Your crochet projects just amaze & delight me, Ros! Just wish I was there to touch them & have a cup of tea with you! Not a great week here--puppy is on chicken & rice & being worked up for periodic vomiting, my laptop is still not fixed (so much for "Wednesday at the latest"--NOT happy with them!) & it's still way too hot! The pc is set up for 6ft 5in hubby, so I can only stand to be on it a few minutes at a time--used Flickr for a couple challenges since it's faster. I know you'll have fun with Pat--will enjoy seeing what you guys do! Hugs, Greta PS--Vet says we'll probably be switching to prescription food, so we'll be with you on spending a fortune for fur baby food!

You took to the crochet like you were born for it! OMG, these are all so adorable! Computer issues drive me crazy. I don't have a Mikey here in town, so have to wing it on my own or take it somewhere. It sounds like you've been plenty busy. Your day with Pat is a nice break!

Glad you have an updated system, I had to buy a new desk top because my laptop was too old for a lot of things, and I had to back up everything in order to get the new system, I give in and bought one instead, it has been less than a year and I don't get why sometimes it slow down a bit, either the connection at home or the desk top, I didn't get warranty so I try not to think it is the computer, LOL!
Anyway, I love your owl baby! Looks like you are having lots of fun with your new craft!

It is always painful when getting something new, the learning curve is timely! So sorry about your old computer, but glad you have a son to do this for you!. Love all your crocheted things, such fun Ros and so rewarding to be able to make them. Have a lovely weekend! We are still very hot here, but I guess it beats the cold!

I'm sure you'll love your new system, but it is no fun getting through that learning curve! You really have found another creative avenue with these adorable crocheted babies! I especially love that darling ant!! So glad to hear all is right with hubby! Hugs, Darnell xxoo

These makes are adorable Ros and as a person who is totally inept with knitting or crocheting, I am in awe at your skill! I hope you are getting used to the new computer system.
