Playing when I can

Hello and happy November!
Ok, I know it's 3 days into the month...It's certainly cooler here and we've had some frosty mornings.

So Pat came around on Wednesday and I gave her some tissue paper to play with along with distress inks... She made some really pretty cards and unfortuantely I only had some lilac paper left to play with myself but I did make a couple of Holiday cards, one of which I'm sharing today

I die cut the circles shape and popped out the white ones to fill them in with some more die cut circles done both with the tissue paper technique (embossed in silver) and some done with the "swiping your credit card" technique

The little tree was also cut from one of the tissue paper technique pieces

Honestly I had no clue where this was going when I started but I kind of like it, what do you think?

Before I go I just wanted to let you know that as I was getting nowhere with my therapy or GP, I changed to another practice last week and saw a new GP. She was really good and is arranging for me to have an MRI scan to see what is going on. I still struggle to sit for any length of time and it resricts me so much. My sweet Aunt is now quite ill and I can't travel to be with her which uspsets me greatly. So I'm crafting when I can and keeping positive...

Thanks so much for your concern ... Enjoy your day

This card is SOOOO cool Ros! Absolutely LOVE all the circles filled in with the different colored tissue paper and the beautiful texture of each...the tree too! Yes, it's different, but AWESOMELY different!! I'm sorry the problem with your back is not getting any better, but very glad to hear you're trying a different doctor who is willing to test and find some answers. Hang in there and stay positive and I'll be saying some extra prayers friend!! :0)

Oh Ros, I will be praying things will get better for you and your sweet aunt. Sometimes the timing of things can really be a pain can't it. Hang in there. I've never heard of the tissue paper technique but they are quite lovely. The softness of the paper really adds so much interest to the card. Hugs!

So, so sorry to hear about your aunt, Ros. I know you must be so frustrated not being with her & continuing to have such pain. You're in my thoughts--wish I could do something! So glad you'll be getting the MRI & that your new doctor is trying to help--finally! Unique & beautiful card--really love the look of the tree! I still haven't tried that technique--very intriguing! Sending big hugs, Greta

Love your card Ros and I am intrigued about the tissue paper technique and the credit card? Sorry your Aunt is not good and you are unable to see her. I do hope things turn around for you soon. xx

I more than kind of like it. I really SUPER like it! You're so good with the tissue paper technique. It's beautiful! Gosh, I have the tree and tinsel dies and they're perfect additions here. I hope your new GP will help you. It sounds like it's time to get serious. I don't know if your problem is the same, but I know some folks who have had a really simple laser surgery to fix their back problem. In and out the same day and instant relief. Also, I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt as I know how dear she is to you.

That is a fantastic card - and I just love that tree and how unusual the whole design is! I so hope that your new doctor will be able to figure out how to solve your problem. At a time when I wasn't able to sit I used the ironing board to do some things standing. But that is not a long-term solution. Keeping my fingers crossed for your aunt, too!

It's always fun to play around with and idea, but it comes out so much better than you thought you feel soo creative. I love how you filled the circle and cut the tree from papers you created. CAS and classy.

So sorry about your Aunt not being well. Glad to hear you are seeing a different physician who is more pro-active in helping you. I am sending you healing thoughts my friend. Hopefully the MRI will answer questions as to what will help you heal!

Take care and keep creative...such good therapy!

Hugs..

Your card is gorgeous using the tissue paper technique, Ros! Such lovely colors and wonderful design! I hope you get some answers very soon. An MRI should help explain the reason for the pain. So sorry to hear about your Aunt. I know you’d be with her if you felt better. Hope you feel better soon! Take care!

Wow Ros, this is just incredible! The design is brilliant with removing all the circle insides and then colouring them and putting them back in! I zoomed in so I could see all the amazing textures and colours, wow again on how amazing each little circle is! Really love your creativity here! hugs :)

What a roller-coaster ride these last few months have been for you, Ros! I'm delighted to hear that you switched GPs and that you are getting an MRI! But I'm very sad to hear about your darling aunt. I know how this must be stressing you out that you can't be with her. It's really unfair. Deep breath and carry on and all that, but it really is unfair. I will pray you both recover and have more happy times together ahead!

Your serendipty design is really really gorgeous!! Hugs, Darnell
