Anniversary Cards

Hello...

I'm just popping in with a few anniversary cards...

A few days ago DH and I celebrated our wedding anniversary, some friends came to visit and  low and behold brought a cold virus with them... The following day I was feeling it and as I am to have surgery tomorrow I am just hoping that it won't be cancelled... Your prayers would be much appreciated....

Anyway I made a card for Ian but it really doesn't photograph that well...

The BG was done by smooshing Iced Spruce distress oxide onto white card and then overlaying with a wet stencil. To give it a little sparkle I splattered in gold paint.

I also made one for my friend who will also be celebrating her anniversary this month... Unfortunately her husband has terminal cancer and it was hard to know what to say on it

So I used 2 different stamps and did a little masking with them... It does photograph better than the first one though

I've been looking at the weather that some of you are experiencing right now and I have a dear friend living out in NJ - She is part of the nursing staff in one of their hospitals and struggles to get to work everyday but somehow makes it... Bless her

And before I go, I just want to thank the team at CAS Watercolour for my Outstanding design award, what a lovely way to end the year... Thank you!

Please be safe and have a good week...

Hugs

Oh no, Ros! I am praying! May God bless you with good health for this surgery! Both of your anniversary cards are wonderful. Your Ice Spruce background is amazing and perfect with all that glittery gold. I am so sorry about your friend's husband. I'm sure your card will be cherished.

Oh, no! I hope your surgery isn't cancelled now that you're all ready for it. 'Tis the season for cold viruses. Two really wonderful cards today, Ros. The first is so beautiful with the gold and vellum and splatters, and I dearly love the second card. I think you managed very appropriately in a sad situation. Love the leafy die with the curly tendrils hanging down. If I saw that die I'd buy it in a heartbeat, but not now because I spent all my crafty money on a new camera. Congratulations on your Outstanding Design award. Well deserved!

Happy belated anniversary. Ros! The first card is so gorgeous!! You made a beautiful background with Ice Spruce distress oxide ink and a wet stencil! The glittery heart die-cut and the heat-embossed sentiment on the vellum strip add elegance to the card! The second card is so cute! Somehow this card reminds me of your Bluebell and Daffodil girls. :-) Hideko xx

Happy LATE anniversary!! Both cards are beautiful and so sorry for your friends hubby...I sue wish they could figure out a cure!! I love the one for them with the 2 cats, well you know I am partial to cats..anyhow both are gorgeous!! I have a missing outside cat, temps have been so brutal and today I saw 5 crows across the creek and a'body' of sorts, so I tromped over there (I saw tromped as snow was deeper then my boots, very hard walking....but once I got there I saw it was the mink that has been living there the last several years...poor mink, but glad not a cat!

Two wonderful creations! Good choice of sentiment on the second one - and motif, too.

The Iced Spruce color is gorgeous and the subtle pattern from the stencil looks lovely. You are really having fun with the sparkly papers. LOL Beautiful work as always Ros.

I do love the anniversary card you made for your husband - so glamorous. I have that Iced Spruce ink and it always looks dull when I use it. The other card is really pretty too and I'm sure much appreciated.
