Sympathy Card

Hello...
Well it seems my package (yesterday's post) was from a dear blog friend and I am so sad that it got trashed... At least I know now and quite honestly, I somehow wished I didn't know what happened to it... sigh
But on to something else...

I'm not quite back into crafting, seems even the Big Shot is an effort to move and I'm struggling to recall where some things are... I hope that passes soon. Anyway, sadly I had to put together a card for a friend of my husband's from his golf club. Such a sweet guy, and sadly his son took his own life a few days ago. Such a terrible tragedy and there are no words of comfort I can offer but at least I can send a card

A BG image stamped in iced spruce distress ink and my faithful sprigs die

One of the sprigs was cut from a piece of CS that I smooshed with Versaark and then sprinkled on my mix of silver and gold EB powder and heat set. I also smooshed a strip with Iced Spruced distress ink to stamp and emboss the sentiment

Till soon my friends... Be safe

Cannot imagine parents trying to deal with such a tragedy. A college football player from Washington State recently took his life. So baffling & sad. I have to say, this is one of the best sympathy cards I've ever seen, Ros--pinning it for future inspiration! Oh so sad that package is gone--how could the garbage men not tell it was new?! Have you seen the Gemini Jr die cutting machine? Have it on my wishlist if there's ever a big sale. Hugs from your blogging sister, Greta

Oh Ros, that is so sad about the young man who took is life. This tragedy is very hard to express your thoughts in words to the family. Your card will be a wonderful comfort to them. I also feel sad about your missing parcel! I love the embossed sprig as well. Lovely card!

Such a beautiful, BEAUTIFUL card Ros...I hope it offers some comfort and hope to the devastated parents. I had a brother who took his life at 16, so I know all the kindness from family and friends is always appreciated...to know you're not alone in your grieving. Lovely card Ros!

Oh, no... there are no words big enough to convey your sympathy for such a loss. I'm so sorry for your husband's friend. Your hand made card lets him know you care, and it's beautiful with the soft background and delicate sprigs. I'm also sorry to hear your package was a heartfelt gift from a blogging friend. I'm still puzzled over why your mail man put it in the trash bin. Ros, you had quite an invasive surgery and it will take time to fully recover. You're doing amazingly well to be stamping and blogging already!

I'm so sorry about the tragedy that occurred with your husband's friend's son. I'm also mortified to hear that a postman can do that without it being a federal offense! Your sympathy card is beautiful and very fitting for such a sad occasion.

Your sympathy card is so beautiful, soothing and comforting, Ros. The choice of your colors, especially Iced Spruce, is perfect for the occasion. I'm sure this card and your thoughtfulness will help them overcome the hardship. Hideko xx

So sad. That seems to be happening more and more. Your card turned out lovely. That color is underestimated in the Distress inks. Hope things get more on track for your soon. hugs!

What a tragedy... how sad a life it must have been if that appeared to be the only way out. It is a wonderful card that you made.

How terribly sad, and every parent's nightmare. Young men seem to be particularly vulnerable to this. I agree that it is hard to give comfort in such awful circumstances but I think your lovely card and kind thought will be appreciated. I think the colour tones you used are perfect.
