Birthday Girl

Good Morning and welcome to February!

I know I'm a little late, I'm still trying to taking things easy but I get impatient. Some days I feel I've taken one step forward and 2 steps back...
I managed a little crafting with Pat last week and I've done nothing since. Between you and me, hubby took charge of my meds... I wrote out a chart for him so he knew what I had to take and when, but he gave me the wrong tablets a few times and it didn't help I can tell you....

I need a couple of birthday cards this month, one for hubby and one for my SIL but so far I have only done my SIL's card

I used a Julie Nutting Doll stamp gifted to me by my lovely friend Diane a few years ago, coloured her with copics and cut her out... I also stamped her tiara and bow onto glitter card and added them separately

The doll stamps are quite big so I only used part of the stamp and added some ink blending and splatters to the BG. I though a few balloons would be fun, like she was holding them behind her so again I used my inks to blend onto vellum before die cutting the balloons

...And I used a left over piece of the vellum to stamp my sentiment on.
My SIL loves red dresses so I hope she will like this

I hope you are all keeping well, it's still a struggle to sit for any length of time at the computer but I hope to get around to visiting you all soon...

Have a beautiful day

Love her! Ros, this is fabulous, love everything about this card. From your perfectly coloured girl - love her red dress!, to the sponged background, splatters in the background and those vellum balloons. The balloons are so soft that it doesn't take away from the girl. Oh and love the glittered tiara and bow! Fabulous card Ros. Take care,

Glad you are on the mend but it sounds like not all plain sailing x Gorgeous card Ros and love that you have not used the whole stamp. Great pop of red against the delicate blue and loving the bling too x Only DH's card to make then??

She looks exactly like she's holding the balloons behind her back! You have such a gift for making a CAS card that still has lots of design interest. Love the silver splatters and gentle shading of background and vellum. I've seen how big these dolls are, but perfect the way you used her. You need time to heal, Ros. I can totally understand your impatience, though. Watch those meds!

Uh oh--hubby's fired & I'm coming to be your nurse--haha! Can only imagine how hard it must be to want to be back to normal now that surgery is over, but knowing it takes time to heal. Your SIL is going to love her card! The beautiful red dress makes it special for her & so fun how it appears she's holding the balloons behind her back! Love seeing your work again, Ros--just don't overdue it, my friend!

Oh, love the stamp image! You colored her so pretty with the red dress and sweet shiny crown! Love the balloons, too! Your SIL will appreciate this special card I'm sure! I just read what Greta said and am giggling. How fun it would be if Greta and I lived close to you! We would certainly be happy to help you with recovery! But, I do hope and pray that things improve for you with each passing day and that you take good care! Hugs!!

Oh my, I hope the tablets are administered correctly now! Be patient - but who am I to talk... As for your card: it is absolutely beautiful and I agree with Leslie: it does look as if she was holding the balloons behind her back.

Oh, my goodness, Ros, you are a brave girl! I can just hear your husband now in a court of law, "Honest, Your Honor, she ASKED me to dole out her medications to her! I wasn't purposely trying to kill her!" The last thing you need is a muckup of your meds, so do be careful!

I love your happy card for your SIL's birthday! She will know you made it special for her with the pretty red dress!! Hugs, Darnell

Your SIL will be pleased that you colored the doll's dress with her favorite color. Adding the glitter tiara and bow makes the card look perfect for the occasion. The vellum balloons are pretty too. Hoping you're recovering steady and fast. Hideko xx

So sorry you aren't feeling as well as you would like Ros. :-( The card is really cute. I like everything you added to the doll image. The vellum is a great touch especially with the pretty inking.

As I cam straight over to your home page, I can see that you've used both halves of this woman on different cards- how clever! And a fun idea. And this one is very pretty and perfect for birthday.
