50th Wedding Anniversary

Good morning lovely people

It's so cold here! We've had snow, not a great deal, but I think that's because it is just too cold to snow. All the stores are full of summer fashions and easter eggs and somehow it just doesn't seem right Lol!
I got to visit my friend (who was actually 92) and delivered the card I shared in the last posting along with some flowers. Bless her... She wasn't sure who I was at first and when I said my name she wouldn't stop kissing me and hugging me and kept shouting to her husband "George... it's Rosalind, it's Rosalind! (always my full title)... I'm sure she will forget I came once I'd left but for that time she was so happy.

It was also another friend's 50th Wedding Anniversary last week and I'm hoping to catch up with her tomorrow... Here's the card I sent

It was s hard to photgraph but hopefully you can see the stamping done in platinum ink that adds a pretty sheen to the overall card

I kept on losing those little numbers so die cut a few, then used 2 of the zero's for wedding rings

My friend Mac let me know that I got a shout out at CAS Watercolour Challenge for this card... Thanks Mac, congrats to you too! And thank you to the lovely team at CWC, it's always an honour.

I've just finished 2 sets of projects for tonights Thursday club and I'm halfway through making next week's Mother's Day projects ... It's on the 11th March here in the UK.  There are 24 pretty unicorn gift boxes (to hold chocolate hearts) and 24 cards for them to assemble.

To all of you who are experiencing this cold snap... Be safe and stay warm and to those of you basking in the sunshine... I'm jealous haha!

Have a great day

~ Ros ~

What a BEAUTIFUL card Ros!! I love the hearts, the 2 kitties, the background, the colors on that die cut, and even your sweet little wedding rings made from 0's! Lovely, lovely card my friend! Freezing rain turning to snow later today as temps fall, so not much better weather here either for the first day of March!!

Oh, so pretty! I dearly love the cats and stitched hearts and leafy stamping on the card base. And the die cut at the crest which you use so well and I think I'm saving for a Christmas card. Clever you to use the zeros for wedding rings. You made your friend very happy with your visit and that's good to hear. Goodness, you're busy with your Thursday club!! I hope it means you're feeling a bit better, and I also hope you'll be able to share your projects. I've heard about the Beast from the East over there. Brrrr!

Beautiful card, Ros! Love the offset hearts, and how the platinum stamping gives a lovely brocade effect. Great way to create wedding rings too!

Ros, this is beautiful. Love the stamped background, very lightly stamped but I can see the sheen. The cats are perfect for an anniversary card, tucked inside the heart. Love it! After severe flooding on the weekend, the waters have gone down significantly, and now we are back to freezing temperatures today, started out with rain, now it is snowing, suppose to get 8-10 inches overnight! Yuk! Have a wonderful day, keep warm!

Beautiful card Ros, so elegant and so cleaver to use those zero's for rings..never would of thought of that in a million years!! So glad you got to see your friend. you are such a good friend!! It is cold here too, but no snow, we had inches of rain here last week and tons of flooding issues in our town, we had flooding here but not into the house, like lots did...but Spring is fast approaching and I can hardly wait!! Have a wonderful day my friend...BIG hugs!!

Sounds like you had a wonderful visit with your sweeet friend, Ros! Your anniversary card is so pretty with the background, silhouette, and sparkling rings! What a special card! I’m sure it will be treasured! We got hit with the cold snap here that started with rain and turned to sleet and snow yesterday. I was so happy once I was home for the evening! I was surprised to see how your side of the world got hit with snow! But, spring will soon be here. Take care and have a great weekend!

I can see why you got a shout out. The delicate background sets the scene for the beautiful hearts sentiment and ring. The cats are unexpected on this elegant card but they soooo work.

Gorgeous stamped background, die cut hearts, die cut flower and bow spray with all your gold accents. Love how you used your die cut zeros for wedding rings and your silhouette cats. All perfect for a very special 50th anniversary. TFS your card and your story about your 90 year old friend. It must have warmed your heart that she remembered you even if only for a short time. Take care my friend. Hugs...
