With Sympathy

Hi there...

Just popping in with another sympathy card I needed to make

It's never an easy task is it, so once again I kind of stuck to ink blending and embossing

The pretty bird and branch was part of a set sent to me by my lovely blog friend Rebecca and I used my mix of silver and gold embossing powder

The scene looks a little wintery, well it is getting colder here once again with a possibilty of snow on the way, but I tend to think it represents the feeling of losing someone dear...

Thanks so much for all your lovely comments and kind wishes I really appreciate them

Wishing you a beautiful day

~ Ros ~

So delicate and the colours and scene does represent the feeling of losing someone dear. Not an easy card to make but you've made it beautifully x

It's beautiful, Ros. It does look wintry and you're right about how it imparts a sense of loss, but it does it in such a peaceful way. Your background is so lovely and the heart around the bird is a sweet touch. You feel these losses, too, and I'm sorry about that. Hugs.

Very soft and serene. I'm sorry you are having to make one right now, but I know it will be appreciated.

It's getting colder here, too - just when people thought that spring had finally made it. But as long as the sun sticks around, I don't mind. A lovely card for such a sad occasion.

Beautiful and thoughtful Sympathy card filled with Love. Your design is so creative, Ros. I love your blended background for your heat embossed bird and snow. Also using the negative for your die cut window is so unique too. TFS and so sorry for your loss.

Take care and Hugs...Nancy

Stunning ink-distressed sky, Ros! The gold/silver heat-embossed bird and branch are so beautiful. The framing (using the negative part of a frame die) is a clever idea. The heart outline adds warmth to the card - perfect for the occasion. Hideko

What die did you use to make the frame/window?

You don't ever have to apologize for your inked cards. They're always beautiful and I'll never get tired of seeing them. The combination of the heart and the rough cut style of the opening works really well together.

THIS is the most perfect sympathy card, Ros. Sorry you had to make it but it is just so full of LOVE. The purple sky, the embossed image, and that wonderful saying along with the heart just make it so special!
