Another Sympathy Card

Good Morning...

I had a card from a friend of my Aunt's last week... She is another animal lover and lost 2 of her cats within 2 weeks. I could tell how distraught she is... Her cats and dogs are her babies and she works tirelessly with animal charities.
So I wrote a letter and made this card for her

I swiped Faded Jeans distress oxide ink ove the BG stamp and applied the card over the stamp... I just love that colour blue... In fact I have wallpaper very similar looking to that BG in the bedroom.

I reversed the grass stamp and embossed it in silver... I like how it looked upside down.

I know it will cheer her up, not everyone is sympathetic when a pet dies but if you don't have children they do become a substitute and even when you do, they are still part of the family.

I hope you enjoy your day... I'm still in Majorca for some R & R and I'll catch up with you all soon

I love the manner in which you inked up your background! I'll have to give that a try. The particular shade of blue is very soft and comforting, like an old pair of jeans. Brilliant to stamp the grass upside down. Way to stretch your stamps! The look is beautiful. Your card is just beautiful all over. I'm truly sorry for your friend's loss. I do understand how it hurts when a pet dies and I don't know how I'm going to handle it this time around.

Hope you're having a wonderfully relaxing time away, Ros! What a gorgeous sympathy card & perfect for your aunt's friend. It's so difficult to loose a pet, let alone 2 so close together. Wonderful choice of stamps & colors! Our bedroom has blue, too, but lighter.

Hi Ros, hope you are having a lovely break away and that its doing you good.
Love the card, you come up with some beautiful designs and ideas! and the colour is a favourite of mine too. I know the lady will love it as much as I do. I can only imagine how she feels losing 2 fur babies in as many weeks...heartbreaking!!! I don't know what I would be like if I lost my little Alfie (Dachshund) he is certainly our baby.
Hugs Mau xx
ps I am so glad my comments show up as I ALWAYS get a failure notice in my emails about your blog...very strange! as they are always visible to me ...lol

What a beautiful card Ros (LOVE how you used that background stamp!!) and I'm sure it will bring a smile to your friend. Pets are a huge part of my family's life too and we have a 13 year old dog (Brinkley) who has a tumor and is on limited time, so I know just how your friend feels! Yay to you for being so sympathetic and understanding of her at this difficult time...you're a wonderful friend!! :0)

Cool texture effects in the Oxide ink. That blue paired with the white is very striking. Bet this meant the world to her. We do love our animals.
