Card cakes and frog

Hello and happy Monday!

What a busy time we've had...Hubby's daughter got married on Saturday and at least the rain held off even though it was very cold. I don't know about global warming, but here in Liverpool it seems to have had the opposite effect! Still we survived what was a very stressful day for both of us...

Thank you to the team at CAS Watercolour Challenge for my Outstanding Design award... That was lovely to wake up to and today I just have a few odds and ends to share.

Firstly a quick card for I made for my Friend Sue Lelli who recently celebrated her 60th Birthday

Same BG as I did in a previous card but this time I overlaid it with acetate on which I had stamped and embossed

And hubby wanted me to share the apple pastries I made for him

And just in case you're wondering, The half eaten one next to them is a cherry bakewell I made

I just love almond anything!

Finally, this is the prototype of the frogs my special needs group will be assembling

He's made with flower pots and a few other bits and pieces. They will also be making a frog slider card to go with this and right now I'm on to making 25 bees using plant pots. I managed to get some striped fabric to cut out and sew 25 dresses for them so I'd better get on with it.

Here's hoping that May will be a good month and bring us some warmer weather

Enjoy your week

Beautiful card!! The frog is adorable, and it seems you are keeping very very busy!! Hopefully soon you will be able to get outside and have some warm and dry air. It is to be very nice this afternoon so I hope to get out and work for a bit and tomorrow too, though I have a road trip planned to a garden center. I need to find homes for 9 kittens, they will be ready to go in a few weeks. The other 5 are only 2 weeks old...this has got to stop! Have a wonderful and creative and fun day!!

Oh, my gosh, I love your card and the way you're making the backgrounds for this stamp set. So pretty and interesting! Makes me think of denim and now I'm eager to get this set out again, but it will have to get in line with all the other things I'm doing, sigh... And your pastries -- wow! You're an artist in every way! They're so beautiful and absolutely delicious looking. It would be hard to desecrate those rosettes by eating them, but once I started I'd probably gobble up every one of them. Finally, your frog is soooo adorable and a super fun project for your group. It's a beautiful thing you do for them. 25 dresses for 25 bees? You're amazing!

You are beyond amazing, my friend! I'm always in awe when I see your projects! Gorgeous BD card for Sue & adorable frog project, but seriously--25 dresses?! I can't even imagine making those pastries which are gorgeous & must be so yummy! Glad the wedding wasn't rainy & that you both made it through a tough day as I knew you would! So wish I could come over & give you a hug, but virtual will have to do!

So glad you survived the weeding and so sorry that it is cold, Ros. We have had a remarkable spring with temps so lovely. Warm but not hot in the day time and cool to muggy at night. I actually managed almost 4 hours working in the garden...hubby says he does it and then does not...Ho Hum! Havae a wonderful week. ..the frogs are sooo cute!
