Scrap Cards

Good morning friends...
It's just started to rain here... Only lightly but it's welcome all the same.

I have a couple of cards to share that I made from scraps and unused die cuts - Every now and then I pull out bits and challenge myself to make something with them.

The BG on this was done with distress oxides and I used some positive and negative die cuts

The second one uses up more scraps

Little pieces of both an ink blended BG and a scrap of digital printed paper

I still have tons of bits left... I just can't seem to throw anything away and it also tells you that I don't always get things right first time... Sometimes I cut things in various colours to see how they work and then I end up with lots of leftovers

I am going to catch up with you all today... It's been awhile since I visited your blogs to see what you've been creating

Have a lovely day and take care in the sun

I love when you use your bits and pieces Ros...you ALWAYS come up with such unique and FABULOUS cards!! Both of these are absolutely wonderful!! I love your background on the first card and how some of it peeks through from the negative of the leaf die cut...sooo pretty!! And your 2nd card is just as lovely too! Can't wait to see what you come up with next time you pull out your box of bits and pieces!! :0)

Your bits & pieces are beautiful--good you saved them, Ros! I really love how you used the triangles--cool card! Glad you got a little rain--we sure could use some, but at least we don't have smoke or floods here.

You always amaze and inspire me, Ros with your clever and unique designs. Love your color combos. I just love both your cards and how you designed such creative cards with your scraps. I also save scraps and have finally started using SU clear boxes the last couple years to organizes my scraps. Makes it so much easier to find and use scraps. TFS your beauties my friend. Hugs.

Some of the best cards come from scraps - as yours show! I have the same problem with scraps taking the upper hand here. I could easily make 500 cards just of these bits and pieces...

They're both fantastic. I like the mix of your handmade peices with the die cuts and all the texture. Your cards are always fun to investigate. LOL

Why doesn't my bits box have any bits like this in it??? Two gorgeous designs with your left-overs, Roz! I'm so glad to hear that you are finally getting a little bit of rain ... hope it continues, but not TOO much!! Hugs, Darnell

These are both so lovely and brilliant use of your bits and pieces! I need to remember the +/- die cut technique of your first card. Love that. So much in my head I forget most of it. We could use some of that rain.

I can't believe you made these wonderful cards using bits and unused die cuts, Ros. I especially love the card with the distress oxide background. It's stunning. The texture and the colors are so beautiful! Using/layering the negative and the positive die-cuts is so clever! Hideko xx
