Just Us Girls Challenge #452

Good Morning!

I'm delighted to be Guest Designing over at Just Us Girls for the month of August and the first challenge of the month happens to be a favourite theme for me...

I kept my card pretty much CAS using an old but favourite stamp that came free with a magazine

I started with a little ink blending before stamping - The image always reminds me of my son and I when he was little

The posts are a digital from a colouring page which I resized, printed and coloured using copics then trimmed the base off before popping them up with foam dots to add a little dimension

The sentiment I cut in white CS and then smooshed it with Versamark ink and embossed it with a mix of gold and silver embossing powder.

I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one who loves a beach theme card so I do hope you will join us and share your beach themed lovelies. If you're looking for more inspiration, hop on over to the blog and check out the fabulous cards from the team... I'll see you there!

Enjoy your day

A wonder silhouette for the beach scene! I love viewing your beach cards for they are so serene and beautiful! We recently purchased a new car, too. Believe me, my husband was the same way in taking his time!:]. But, we love the new car and are very happy with it! Anyways, fab card and congrats on you guest design spot, Ros!

Who doesn't love a beach-themed card? This is right up your alley because you make the BEST beachy cards! Love the soft colors, the stamp, the layout. Clever combination with the digi pilings. We sure spent a lot of time at the beach when our son was little, so this reminds me of him, too.

Beautiful! I'm really loving the beach look at the moment as just back from the Isle of Wight and looking in all the gift shops at the beachy stuff...

I also have this freebie stamp and love it too. It also makes me think of my son ... I like that the silhouettes are quite gender neutral- I think of the large figure as being a man in shorts but it could also be someone wearing a dress

The addition of the posts adds great depth to your stamped image. I really like how you cut the stamped panel too. The diagonal shape really draws the eyes.

I love this card! The beach scene is so beautiful and nostalgic, the way you placed the colored panel is unique and interesting, and the posts and the sentiment add dimensional interest to the card. It's such an inspiring "beach" sample card! Hideko xx
