The Hen Again...

Hello...

I haven't been creating much at all but I do have a card to share - One I made a few weeks ago with that fun hen or chick?

It's a little awkward to photograph as it's one of those pop up cards so it just has a window on the front of the card which I coloured using a stencil and distress ink

This is how it pops up ... Jennifer McGuire does a tutorial on this here That lady is so clever!
The hen/chick was coloured with Copics and the balloons were sponged with distress oxides.

It's been a traumatic week here at my house. Ginger boy has caused us much concern and heartache - I honestly thought I may lose him on Wednesday he was in so much pain. Getting medication into him is not easy and I'm not at all happy with the treatment (or lack of) that he got at the animal hospital. Heck it cost almost £1,000 and he was a mess when I got him home. He's a little improved today but still not happy. Somehow I managed to wrench my shoulder a few days ago too so we are both in the wars...
At least the plumbing in the kitchen has been fixed but the guy who came discovered that the drains are cracked and need repair... They are bringing an excavator to did up my front garden for goodness sake! Does it ever end?

I'll be back tomorrow sharing my card for my last GD spot at Just us Girls

Wishing you a lovely day

~ Ros ~

Oh dear, it never rains but it pours they say Ros and you have had a torrential downpour this week! I hope your Ginger picks up soon, and that the drains get fixed without your garden being completely wrecked. Now on to your beautiful card. I adore your fun chick/hen with the prettily coloured balloons, and the pop up is so clever. I watched the Jennifer McGuire video but am not sure that I would give it a go myself, but you have made a great job of it and the sentiment goes perfectly. x

Way cute, Ros! I love that crazy chicken, all the color, and the pop up design. That Jennifer McGuire is one tricky girl! You're so good about trying new things and you do it beautifully. I'm so sorry Ginger boy has had such a hard time recovering. I know how hard this is for you. I'm afraid I'd have nothing else on my mind, but now there's more than one kind of pain at your house. Ginger boy, your shoulder, and your garden. It's just too much!

Oh Ros, what a heck of a week you are having! Sometimes it seems like it never ends doesn't it. I hope your shoulder starts to feel better soon, as well as poor Ginger boy! As for your card, it made me smile and chuckle! Love everything about it. A fabulous birthday card! TFS, Hugs,

Oh my dear friend--so, so sorry. Wish I was there--not that I could make it any better. So hoping Ginger gets over this--poor kitty cat. Super cute card--made me smile!

So sorry to hear your big worry over darling Ginger! I sure hope he takes a turn for the better very soon! You've had quite a week for sure with the plumbing problems, your shoulder, and Ginger. I hope and pray things get better for you very soon! I must say your cards with the hens lately sure do make me smile. Your pop up card is so fun and cute...just lovely! I hope your crafting helps with all the things going on for you right now. Maybe takes your mind off of things for a bit. You take good care! Sending big HUGS your way!!

Sorry to hear about the misery, hope Ginger boy is ok now, but oh boy, 1000 pound, WOW! I thought we paid a lot for Papi, it was monthly 80+ package and we have been downgrading to 30 bucks a month now, really? Is it necessary for the dog to clean his teeth twice a year? On top of that, a lot of visit we still have to pay for this and that, I finally give up on them and decided that when our contract ends in September, I am going to look for a new vet!
Perfectly fun creation there!

:-( So sorry for all the misfortune that has fallen on you lately. Your hen is delightful. I agree that Jennifer M. is quite the clever crafty lady. Just watched her latest video today and can't wait to try it out. LOL

It really sounds like it was your turn for some good luck by now. So sorry to hear about Ginger, your own troubles - and then that broken water pipe. I hope posting this fun card brought some happiness to you, too - however shortlived it may have been.

What a fun card to cheer you and anyone else up...great stamp and great design..yes that Jennifer is good at ALL she does including enabling me to purchase the new TH Media mat which just came yesterday and the box was completely opened, but it was safe!
Gosh, I hope you feel better soon and reading above I know Ginger cat is improving which is a blessing, and to dig up your gardens...ouch that has to hurt too...I hope things settle down for you soon...big hugs!!
