Get Well Soon

Hi there...

My husband asked for a get well card to send to a friend of his... You can't really do hearts and flowers for a guy can you... or cute little teddy bears
Anyway here's what I came up with

I used the cameo to cut the words on this

...and it came together really quick with some ink blending, a few stamps and embossed images

I know I should really be thinking about Christmas cards now that we are in September but somehow I just can't muster up the enthusiasm despite all the beauties I've seen visiting you.
What I need is to come up with something quick and simple that I can replicate... Well that's the plan.
I'm going to spend some time on Pinterest for inspiration... Talking of which, do you ever see things like me and think 'What!...Why?' Some people obviously have a lot of time on their hands.

Have yourselves a lovely day

Till soon

You mastered the art of the masculine get-well card! I couldn't think of what I would use as you were saying it, but then I scrolled down to see the card and thought, "of course!" Such a great design, Ros! I haven't thought about the Christmas cards much either, yikes!

So gorgeous, Ros! A perfect get well card for a guy! Love the gold feathers and birds! Wonderful ink blending with the sentiment, too!

That's a good one - especially seeing the "male card" issue!

Oh yes--I do think that often--haha! Love your card, Ros--beautiful, but not girly, althought it would be appreciated by anyone! I haven't decided on my simple design for hubby's cousins & usually I know what I want to do by now. Guess I better get to it!

Oh this is a wonderful 'masculine' get well card! Lovely colours behind the words, and love the little birds on each word! I agree with you comment about people having too much time on their hands, it puzzles me too! Have a wonderful day Ros, TFS.

Your cards always look so elegant and you use beautiful clear colours which go together so well. I love the gold feathers and the cut out sentiment with the pretty colours behind and the birds look great perched on the letters. x

You made the perfect masculine get well card! Beautiful colors behind the letters and I love how the birds are perched. Nice with the gold feathers. You nailed it, Ros! I, too, ponder the mystery of finding so much time to stamp. Simple cards, maybe. I wish I was better at them. But some make one extremely involved card after another on a daily basis. Perhaps their brains and hands work very quickly, or they manage their time well, or they have a maid and gardener and someone to take care of all the business and errands.

Ooooo I really like those feathers Ros. I'm not in the Christmas mood yet although I did order some presents today.
