CAS Watercolour Card Challenge

Hello from a very dull and wet Liverpool..

What's a girl to do but stay warm and make a card for the final challenge of this year at

I've had such fun with this challenge so my card is dedicated to you all lovely ladies on the team for your encouragement and inspiration

I did some stamping, masking and embossing for the scene

Then I used Distress Inks to paint the sky, images etc.,
For the sign I used stamps from 2 different sets and painted that too then finished it all off with a white correction pen for snow on the trees, the sign and around the base of the little cabins.

On another note, I went for my check up following the spine surgery I had earlier this year and all was well ... However, the arthritis is causing problems in lots of other places in particular my neck, feet and hands. Oh I love this ageing process Lol! So I am being scheduled for injections in my neck... 8 of them I'm told. The consultant did warn me that they would be painful, so I'm still not sure if I'll go through with it but it's either that or constant pain...

Till then I'll keep on creating

Have a beautiful day and thanks so much for stopping by

~ Ros ~

Oh that does not sound like fun! I'm with you on the aging process, but at least my arthritis doesn't involve my neck. I know that's a bad one. On a happier note--your card is truly a masterpiece, my friend--LOVE it! Wishing you happy holidays from across the world, but know you're close in my heart--Greta

This is gorgeous Ros and love the stitched scalloped edge to have given it and such pretty colours. Sorry to hear you are having trouble with arthritis. I had no idea you have spinal surgery but please for you that at least all is well with that. I hope the injections are not too horrendously painful. x

Oh, I love what you do! A beautiful scene suggesting such cozy warmth inside those cabins. Just need a good stack of firewood... Super cute with the little sign post for your sentiment, and the scalloped edge. You're so good with the white pen and the watercolor. Those injections don't sound fun, but hopefully the results will be worth it.

You are strong Ros...go for the injections, which will hopefully help with the pain x So glad the check up for the back operation went well x.
What an adorable card and those cabins are so cute. Love the water colouring and the way you did the sign post is wonderful x.

Sorry to hear about the pain you are experiencing in your neck, feet, and hands. That doesn't sound good at all ... and neither does 8 injections. I hope that they work for you and give you lots of relief. Take care! Merry Christmas to you!! xx

What a lovely snowy scene, Ros! Love your coloring, the added snow, and the free hand sky images.
I'm sorry to hear about your pain. It's literally " a pain in the neck" Sorry for the bad joke. I hope you take the courage to get the injections so that the treatment will ease the pain in the long run.

Your watercolor work is always delightful I really want to try to learn more about that technique this coming year. I totally understand your qualms about the shots. Really makes you think twice when THEY warn you it's going to hurt.

The image makes me want to get onto my skies and go on a long "stroll" through snowy woods! Beautiful card. As for your arthritis and the painful neck injections... I think I'd have a hard time choosing, too. One way or the other, I hope you're doing better!
