Wintery Sympathy Card

Hello there...
Did you have a good weekend?
We did a little shopping but nothing exciting - Everywhere is so busy at this time of year and there are lots of sales on too.

My husband still keeps in touch with his school friends though many are now in other parts of the country and unfortunately we got the news that one of them suddenly lost his wife a few days ago. It really upset my husband... I'd never met her but Ian remembers going to her 21st birthday party all those years ago. I made a wintery card for him to send

Ink blending, painting and stamping but a little different this time, using a circle die for a stencil

I know I said I was finished with Christmas cards but maybe I'll make a few more with a stencil.. I like how this turned out.
I mailed my first Christmas gift today... I've a ton of cards to write and more gifts to send... That's the part I don't like.. Sitting here making cards and crocheting gifts is the enjoyable bit. Lol!

Till soon

You have the best ideas for cards that truly show your creative talent. This is beautiful with the circle for the scene and the deer offset. It's a lovely winter sympathy card. I can imagine how saddened your husband was to hear the news. One day 21, the next day gone. It reminds us how the years are flying by.

I am so with you! But, gotta make myself send all those cards I've made! So sorry you needed a sympathy card, but must say this one is really lovely. The single deer is so meaningful & touching. Fritz & I stopped by a neighbor's house today to just say hi to a man who just lost his wife. He was clearly lonely & trying to keep busy--so sad. Thinking of you, my dear blogging sister.

So very peaceful Ros. This is a tough time of year to lose a loved one. May your husbands friend find some comfort. I REALLY like that moon effect.

Oh, yes, Ros! I’m in the process of writing Christmas cards, too. So many things to do at this time of the year. And, to think son decided to finish remodeling the bathroom this coming weekend, yikes! Your winter sympathy card is lovely with the pretty scene and deer. Sorry to hear about the loss. I’m sure the card will be very appreciated! Take care, hugs!

This is absolutely BEAUTIFUL Ros...LOVE the idea of creating a little scene inside the circle! I hope it brings comfort to your husbands grieving friend. And I'm with you as far as loving to make the cards but struggle to make myself sit down and address them all...probably because I send out almost a 100 cards at Christmas and it seems like such a HUGE task! Oh well, better quit complaining and get to it! Have a great rest of your week my friend!! :0)

Lovely, so peaceful! A perfect scene for a sympathy card. As for writing the cards and mailing the gifts: I love that just as much as creating them... I just wish I could find more time for that.
