CAS Stencil Challenge

Hello...
We have lovely sunshine today but it's cold and frosty... Strangely there are daffodils in bloom and the hedgehogs that should be hibernating are still visiting us every night...

So today I have a card to share for a brand new challenge CAS Stencil Challenge
brought to us by the talented Loll Thompson

I haven't used stencils for a long time... they tend to be forgotten, but I pulled out a Memory Box stencil for this simple card

The colours I used are Evergreen Bough and Blueprint Sketch

I die cut a leaf from a piece of the stenciled cs and to give it a little more definition I also cut one from silver card, which I cut in half in half then I glued each half behind the stenciled one - Does that make sense?
Well just in case here's a photo to show you

I confess I found it difficult to keep this CAS, I found myself wanting to add things.

That's it for now... Have a lovely day

Till soon

This is such a stylish card Ros and such a great idea to cut the leaf from a piece of the stencilled card, and adding the silver one to frame it really makes it stand out, and also the background works well at a jaunty angle. Fabulous! x

Gorgeous stenciled card, and of course those colors are truly beautiful!! I did this challenge myself and had quite a bit of fun with it. Snowing here right now, quite heavily, our first for 2019!

Oh, how lovely, Ros! Yes, those stencils seem to get neglected along with many other crafty items. How fun to get them out and put them to use. You did a great job with the stencil and lovely colors! The stenciled leaf and the silver one behind it is perfect, so pretty!

WOW! Absolutely beautiful Ros! (no surprise there, your cards are always gorgeous!) What a fabulous trick with the cut die cut behind the main leaf die cut ... looks awesome ... I'll have to try that little trick! Thanks!

CAS is part of the challenge and you've done it brillantely Ros! LOVE the colours you've used for your waves of colour. So clever to cut the mapmle leaf from it as well. The silver paper really makes it stand out from the background. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Stencil! xx

You kept it beautifully CAS and I love it, Ros! The things you do with ink, sigh... Clever idea for backing up the leaf with silver, and I also like how you lifted the edges for a touch of dimension. Daffodils and crocuses pop out early here, so we should be seeing them very soon. Enjoy the color!
