CAS Stencil

Good morning...
The weekend has started well... The wind has dropped and the sun is shining... Couldn't be better.

Today's card is for the CAS Stencil challenge

It's been that long since I used any paste 2 of the pots just would not open. Thankfully I had one by Wendy Vecchi that I was able to open and there was still a little paste left.

For the stencil I used a die cut and then tried something I haven't done before, not sure if it would work ... I sprinkled some silver embossing powder from a height whilst holding my stenciled card upright... I wanted to try and get a little silver on there to bring out the silver backing on my leaf, but I didn't want too much.

Then I used a heat gun on the reverse side first and then on the front to melt the embossing powder... Low and behold it worked!

I added a little frame and a stamped clear embossed sentiment to finish... By the way the leaf was one of a bunch I made a while ago.

I hope you have a lovely weekend...

Take care

~ Ros ~

Snap Ros!
Great minds think alike!
Not only did we use the same die but one pot of my embossing paste was stuck fast too!
Great card!

This looks stunning Ros and love the idea of sprinkling the embossing powder and then heat setting it over the dimensional paste, and the framed it complements the beautiful coloured and sparkly leaf perfectly. x

Your wind came over here to visit us. I have so many garden jobs to do. Rain, rain and wind -- go away! Your card makes me think of a garden. I have a lattice die I've been wanting to stencil with. Your dusting of embossing powder turned out so pretty and is a really nice effect. You're always coming up with these great ideas. This is just so lovely, Ros!

This is one beautiful card Ros, your little silver EP experiment worked fabulously - I love it, and finished of beautifully with the gorgeous leaf. Thanks for playing along with CAS Stencil this month, hugs Robyn

What a great effect, it looks so luxe. Did you try running your stuck pots under a running hot water tap? It usually works for me, with glue too. My problem is half a pot of Nuvo embellishment mousse, gone rock hard! Musn't have closed the lid tight enough!
