Just Bits

Hello!!
I'm back from holiday and though I'm not in card making mode yet, I'm eager to see what you've all been up to... I hope you had a wonderful Easter

I am so happy to be home... The weather we were greeted with was absolutely awful! Cold, wet and the wind was like a mini hurricane...Needless to say I never got to wear any of the summer tops I made...

This was how it looked most days - Empty sunbeds

There were a few sunny intervals...

But and as you can tell from the sky, rain was never far away

One of the best things was that we bumped into my friend Jeanie, can you believe it!
We both worked together for years - She was the boss's typist... I became the boss's wife Lol!

Jeanie and her husband are coming up for 80 years old and go to Nerja twice a year so they were able to tells us a lot about the place, where to eat and what to see.
We got to see the Easter Semanta in the town square and it was so moving and beautiful. Nerja is a lovely place (it's in Spain near Malaga Sue Lelli). But I am happy to be home even though it's wet and cold here too.

As I said I haven't done any crafting but I have a card to share that I made from more bits and pieces

...before I went away

As you can imagine I've done mostly laundry and grocery shopping since I came home...
Hopefully my mojo will return soon...
I'm off to visit your blogs, I can't wait to see what you've been creating

I hope you are having a wonderful day

This bits and pieces card looks great in such pretty colours Ros. I love the paper pieced flowers, leaves and sentiment, and the layers with the stitched rectangle and the triangular frame work really well too. So sorry the weather was not the best in Spain, and you have come back to changeable weather too unfortunately, as I think we had all the nice stuff over Easter, but hope we won't have to wait too long for more warm sunshine. x

Glad you had a wonderful trip despite the weather, Ros! How fun to meet up with a friend you once worked with! Thank you for sharing the photos for the scenery is very lovely even with the dark clouds. Your card is lovely with the bits and pieces. Lovely color! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Oh, Ros... I actually moaned and exclaimed out loud as I was reading your post. Again?!! Maybe April isn't the best time to go to Spain. It was Spain, right? The wind is the worst part for me. We've been having it here, too. Still beautiful pictures, though. The sky is quite dramatic. Amazing that you ran into your friend! It's a treat to see you back and with such a clean and pretty card. I've come to love CAS more and more, especially being inspired by your CAS skills. A favorite color combo on this card, the blue and green. So fresh and cool. Way to use up those parts!

Would you believe it...I was in Valencia last week on a 5 day break with my best friend. The first two days were warm and sunny but then.... we spent a great deal of time with our umbrellas blown inside out and having to shelter in restaurants and cafes (with wine, of course).
Anyway, I always find it inspiring when you use your bits (so to speak!) - you've made a beautifully co-ordinated and interesting card.

OMGosh what a Beautiful place! So sorry about the dreadful weather - I hate it when that happens. Thanks for telling me where Nerja was because I was going to ask you! FUN running into friends - funny description! LOVE your card out of bits and pieces. You can always wear your summer blouses on a trip to sunny Florida!

Sorry to hear your vacation was cold and wet - there will soon be days for you to wear the new clothes, I'm sure! Love your card - you are really good about all your bits and pieces; when I look at my ever growing stash of those I think I could continue to work with bits and pieces only and never run out of materials ever again...

WOW, what crazy weather you had, but your pictures are awesome!! What a small world as they say when you run into someone you know while on vacation...fun!! Love the pretty card and of course the colors!! Sorry I have been so late getting here but I just haven't been on my computer or in my creative room much as we actually had a few nice days I could work outside in the 'dirt' and it felt so good, of course then the snow again last weekend...but all seemed to survive it! Have a wonderful day my friend!!
