Stamps and Stencils

Hello there
I hope you are having a good week...

I had a play yesterday with stencils and stamps... Honestly I am struggling to get back into card making but I'm running short of cards as there's been a lot of birthdays this month

Here's a couple that I did yesterday

I did some stenciling and stamped over it then used some edge dies to give it this shape

And ribbon... Yep, I still have rather a lot of it even though you hardly ever see me use it now

The second card is a little busy but I kinda like it

I've never used that stencil before... it was given to me a long while back. That's an old stamp and it looks a little like fireworks don't you think... Not that I was going for that at the time

I've had a few sessions at the Chiropractor lately to help my neck and shoulders, so, much as I'd like to, I can't sit for too long at the computer and it isn't exactly sunbathing weather here... Maybe I'll find my mojo and get some more cards done.

Have yourselves a great day

Two FABULOUS cards Ros!! Love the stenciling behind both of them...soooo pretty!! The flower and die cut edge on the 1st card are wonderful and I do like the added ribbon too! (I used to use ribbon on just about every card I made and now never use it...usually just bakers twine! How times change!!) Your 2nd card is definitely a celebration card and your embossed layer really does resemble fireworks...perfect for a birthday card! :0)

You always make such interesting designs Ros and I love the way you have added the ribbon on the fabulous die cut shape and such a pretty stamped flower over the beautiful stencilled leaves, and then the stars work well with the foliage, actually looks like a selection of grass seed heads and love the colours too...gorgeous! x

Well I think your mojo seems to be in full wing Ros as these two cards are lovely. They are different to anything I have ever seen ad your stenciling really sets off the over stamping. I'm still in holiday mode and craving some sunshine...if only to do the washing!! xx

I hope you feel better soon with you neck and shoulders, Ros. Both your cards are amazing. I love the stenciled backgrounds and your adorable stamps. Kisses, my friend.

Ros your cards are always so unique. Both are fabulous cards, love the stenciled leaves and then over stamped your flower, the die cut is a pretty cool shape as well. I must agree your second card does look like fireworks, but love it. Birthdays are a celebration so this works perfectly. TFS Ros, hope you get some relief from the chiropractor visits. It's been warm here all week 33C or 93F, it's almost too warm very humid as well, but love the sunshine.

You sure did have a play and they're fabulous! You have the prettiest stamps. Those flowers, sigh... Love all the embossing and stenciling. I know... ribbon... I have a drawer full. You're trying to get back into stamping and I'm trying to finish up July's cards so I can step away for a while. I hope your pain eases soon, Ros.

I never think to stamp over a stenciled background, but the look is really neat! So creative to use edge dies to get that shape & I really love the embossing on the second card! I still love ribbon & have a ton of it. Just wish it didn't add to the cost of mailing. Hope the chiropracter helps, Ros. Thinking of you & sending hugs, Greta

Your stamping over stenciling is beautiful, Ros! I love the shape you created on your first card and what a great way to use the ribbon! I was thinking fireworks too when I looked at your second card - it really looks like a celebration!

I thought the same thing about fireworks and how it would have been perfect for July 4th in red white and blue! Both cards are lovely!

I'm certainly not going to fault anyone for having low crafty mojo. I'm the queen right now. LOL These are wonderful. The pairing of the two techniques looks awesome. I really like that you used the ribbon on the first one and yes, the second stamp does kind of look like fireworks.
