Today's card is for the CAS Stencil Challenge
I don't have an alcohol lift re-inker, which seemed to give a good effect in the videos shared on the CAS stencil blog, but I did have some blending solution so I went with that using a little sponge or should I say a few little sponges... They have to be tossed away after using them
So here's the card
I used a variety of alcohol inks and even some silver, let it dry and then used a new stencil I got by Creative Exressions - This gives a better view of the silver, though I found that difficult to erase with the blending solution...
I never have a plan of what I come up with... I usually decide when I see the result of the BG and
this looked like a place fairies may be hiding. I have a die of a fairy sitting on a rather large moon... It was not quite the look I wanted, so I trimmed the die cut and now the fairy looks like she's hovering releasing her magical wishes
The sentiment is an old one from a set by PTI and the best I had that fit the scene

This is stunning Ros and the blending solutions has lifted the ink beautifully and love the colours including the silver, and the silhouette fairy hovering over the top is an inspired choice. The stitched rectangles look so elegant and love the sentiment too. x

Great effect with the blending solution and the lift technique Ros. Such a magical scene and the fairy looks so content in her garden. Yes I find it impossible to lift the metallics, even with the lift pad. Such a beautiful and atmospheric card x

Amazing design Ros! Love the gorgeous colours of your AI background. I used blending solution to lift as well ... it works great. You have fabulous results with the beautiful stencil you've used. The silver looks beautiful ... but you are right, you can't lift it.

OMG this is just GORGEOUS Ros! I don't think I've ever used this technique and I love the outcome! Thanks for inspiration ... Now I have to go in search of more instructions before I make a mess trying it on my own! BEAUTIFUL background and design! You are SO TALENTED!!!

Wow, what a gorgeous alcohol ink background, Ros! And the lifted leaves make the scene look like a deep forest. The fairy silhouette is so pretty and I love how you arranged the rhinestones.

Alcohol inks always give you the coolest effects and it's always a surprise what you'll get. A lovely little fairy bower I'd say.

It's a shame you have to toss the sponges after, but, OMGosh, how gorgeous this is! It looks good with most of the silver left in place, I think, and the fairy is perfect!
Promise you'll never have a plan! What a wonderful creation!
