Alcohol Ink & Lifting

Hello!
It's another dull and dreary day here, but as promised I have some cards to share.

I covered one piece of 5x7 Yupo with alcohol inks (which made 7 cards) and  used a holly stamp to apply the lift which I then stamped onto white card. Today's cards are the ones I did with off cuts and the lifted ink

Card 1

I added a die cut sentiment and some stickles... Yep, I still have some of those and they still work!

Card 2

Card 3 used a scrap of AI from a previous card hence the different colour

You can tell I love using the AI's and nothing is wasted...  You will probably get sick of seeing them on my blog Lol! The thing is when it comes to Christmas cards I want something that makes up quite quickly and something I really enjoy doing. Sometimes the lift doesn't always transfer too well and those little scraps of yupo or a die cut sentiment cover any missing parts.

I'll share the others next time

 Have a lovely day

~ Ros ~

All the cards are beautiful, you are so very creative, I absolutely LOVE the colors!! Sorry I have been missing in action for awhile, but with the holidays approaching I am over my head with things that need to be done and the last two days I spent getting 60 ornaments kits made for the special needs groups at our Elks. We made them yesterday and I was exhausted!! Hoping all is well with you...take care my friend!!

I have never tried this technique, Ros but you certainly make me want to try with this gorgeous collection of cards. I love that they are relatively flat for posting too which is really important when you have a lot to post. It's very wet and dull here too but maybe "the sun will come out tomorrow" as the song says!

It's just amazing to me what you can do with a little scrap of AI background! The lift technique produces such gorgeous results. These are WOW cards, Ros! They didn't quit making Stickles did they? I use them a lot. So easy and tidy. Gee, I'll have to look them up. My Stickles are a staple!

Ros, I never tire of seeing your AI backgrounds! I have yet to try this technique. Maybe after the holiday rush I will have sometime to try this. I love all your cards, they are stunning and all have your special touch! It was nice here in SW Ontario today, tomorrow is suppose to be in the low 50's - very surprising, but I'll take it. TFS!

All three cards are fantastic, Ros! Your AI backgrounds (and ink lifted ones) are always so beautiful and so are these panels.
I love your designs – the holly image on the AI panels continues over the ink lifted panels.
The shine from the gold die-cut sentiment and some stickles is so pretty! Looking forward to seeing many more!

First, your AI panel is gorgeous ... love the colours, Ros! Amazing that you were able to make 7 cards. Way to go!! And I love that you've included a piece of the original AI panel with the lifted version. So creative and beautiful! Perfect die-cut sentiments that are so pretty cut from glitter paper. xx

Reading the comments, I haven’t used my lift ink either. But just wanted to remind you of what I remembered… When stamping the ink you have lifted, you need to stamp it onto a porous surface.
