Christmas Deer

Hi there... How are you?

I haven't made a single card in weeks now, even my last posting was scheduled.
It's rained non stop for days (and it's cold!) which should give me an excuse to stay in and create but DH and I have just been taking time out and watching the French series of Spiral. Funny thing is we don't normally watch TV during the day but sometimes you just have to step back.

I do however have a couple more Christmas cards to share that I made awhile ago - This one uses the last piece of the AI I did for the previous Christmas cards and I cut the deer out from the die I used Here

The sentiment stamp is an old one from Wplus9

The next card uses the same deer and a blended BG plus a frame die from Aliexpress that I also used in this post

You can see I did some stamping and embossing on the BG as well as a little gold paint

I've a few new stamps just waiting to be used... Hopefully I can get motivated soon.

Have yourselves a wonderful weekend

Definitely good to step back & restart. Hope you can soon enjoy making some new cards! Gotta say, Ros--your backgrounds are so inspiring! I especially love the soft stamping & paint splatters on the second one & oh what a gorgeous W+9 sentiment! Sending warm hugs, Greta

These are so soft and peaceful. Too bad the world we live in can't be as serene and innocent as a snowy winter forest. Yes, sometimes we just have to step back and take a little detour off our normal path. Sending you a big hug of encouragement and friendship.

You used that beautiful alcohol inked background well, my friend! It's beautiful with this stately deer! I love the delicate white branch peeking out from the frame and the elegant sentiment! I also love the blended background with the stamping and bits of gold with that stately deer again!

Ros, yes, one does need to take a step back on occasion, and I'm happy you've given yourself this short reprieve. Your backgrounds, lovely sentiments, and that handsome stag are absolutely gorgeous. If you have more, I'd love to see them! I'm happy your husband is spending this time with you, and taking great care of your loving heart... xx

It's good to take a step back at times. You will get back into your routine when you're ready. But, in the meantime, you've given us some lovely cards to admire! I'm always in awe of your fabulous AI backgrounds, Ros! Adding the deer and frame are so pretty! And, love the elegant Wplus9 Christmas sentiment, too! Sending warm hugs, take care!!

I absolutely adore these two cards Ros and the first with that wonderful deer and the pretty snowflakes ink lifted in the background, and some lovely leafy fronds cascading from the outside edge of the frame, and the most beautiful font for the silver embossed sentiment, and then the second with that pretty deer and another gorgeous leafy frame and the background with the super streaks of gold which look like shooting stars, and another lovely gold embossed sentiment. I think that sometimes we all need to step back for a bit, and this time of year with its grey skies, cold weather and buckets of rain can dampens ones enthusiasm for doing anything much..lol. I haven't heard of Spiral so I looked it up and it sounds like it might be interesting so must take a look. x

I'm hoping you feel motivated to get busy in your craftroom again soon, Ros. I know how much pleasure it gives you and all your designs are certainly pleasing to your friends here in Blogland! In the meantime, these two cards are outstanding and so 'ROZ' in terms of execution and precision!! Hugs, Darnell

How beautiful these are, Ros, and flawlessly executed. Your cards are always pristine and perfect. It's good that you're taking a rest of mind and body for a while. You'll be back into it soon enough. Just keep it in the back of your mind and pretty soon it'll call you in.

Gorgeous cards as usual Ros, love the addition of the gold paint, all are so peaceful and stunning!! It is snowing here today and we have a winter warning out, to get 8" tomorrow...so not ready for all that, but it is what is is as we say....but as fast as time seems to go it will be next year and Spring before we know it! Take care my friend!!

Having a break can be a good thing Ros and give you a fresh eye when you jump back in. You deserve some rest and recuperation after having a hard time and snuggling up in front of the telly on these cold wet and windy afternoons sounds good to me! Your backgrounds are always gorgeous, Ros and these beautiful clean designs make the most of them.
Take care of yourself.
Hugs
