Winter Anniversary

Hello...
I finally got around to making a card, well, I had to, one of my brothers is celebrating his wedding anniversary and I didn't have anything suitable

I opted to do some ink blending splattered with white acrylic paint then stamped and embossed part of a tree and used a white gel pen on the branches

The little hedgehogs are by Lavinia Stamps and I 'hung' a wooden heart that was painted and then covered in a sparkly gloss.

The sentiment was computer generated and I dry embossed the frame.

We still have hedgehogs visiting at night and I am going through cat biscuits like crazy.. They love them. Given how cold it is I'm thinking that soon they should be hibernating... I reckon I could do that, just fall asleep and wake to Springtime Lol!

I hope all is well with you... Thanks so much for stopping by

These hedgehogs are so so cute Ros and a lovely idea to hang the red heart from the branches, and the background works beautifully with the gel pen snow on the tree branches and the blended ink background with the acrylic falling snow. I have never tried a digital sentiment on the bottom of a card but you have done it really well. A wonderful card! x

These hedgehogs are the cutest - your brother probably knows about your visitors, so will no doubt appreciate them on your precious card.
I love the detail of the white gel pen - wish I could find one that worked! xx

Your brother will love the fun and cute anniversary card with the hedge hogs!! Love the background sky, so pretty! My son had a hedge hog at one time. We had many different critters when he was growing up. Now we just have one, which is our little Sheila:). Take care and have a wonderful rest of the week, hugs!!

Oh Ros, this is wonderful! I love the hedgehogs and how you created your little scene. The ink blended background is fabulous with the bit of splatter, and I like the way you highlighted the tree limbs with white. The dry embossing makes a wonderful frame around your image. I'm sure your brother loved this. Oh and yes that little heart is so darling. Love this! Glad to see you are back in your craft room once again. Take care,

How cute! This made me think of that old muskrat love song. LOL The gel pen works great as a layer of snow on the branches.
