Playing with Brushes

Hi there...
I'm so glad that you are enjoying my watercolour flowers and thank you all for your encouraging comments.
It's a beautiful day here, the sun is shining and it's much warmer, I'm going to be joining my cats out there shortly as listening to the local news has left me quite scared and a little low.

I have a couple more creations to share with you... I've been experimenting with different paintbrushes and trying to master some of the techniques, I have plenty of time to practice.

This one was done using a triangle type brush

...to create two toned fan shaped flowers

I found You Tube videos by Ceecee Creations and just love watching them - Here's a little close up

My leaves need a lot of practice

Sometimes I get the shape right and sometimes not

Stay safe, keep crafting and even across the miles we'll help each other through this

More adorable flowers Ros, and I think your leaves and touches of pen for detail look fantastic, and I think you are very talented. I am trying not to listen to too much news. We all know it is not good at present and provided we are following the official line and lying low as much as possible we ourselves cannot do more to change it. It does make one feel a bit depressed and I like you have been feeling unsettled and unsure of how things will pan out. We all, as you are, need to focus on taking our mind off things if only briefly, and your painting is just the tonic, so just keep doing it as it is giving us a lift to see all the prettiness you are creating. Take care. x

Beautiful Ros , love those blue..cornflowers maybe? The leaves look fine to me. Had a good day today , been in the garden and washing the winter woolies!...ok till I switched on the telly for the news...then it leaves me feeling panicky and like you depressed. It's worse than brexit!..xx

Stunning cards Ros, and love all the detail on them. Your leaves are perfect, and really no two leaves are alike. Gosh you are so talented. I'm with you, I try not to listen to the news, it gets scarier every time you do listen. Time to back away from it for a bit. I find it hard to get back to card making, hopefully some day soon. Lay low, keep safe, and hugs from across the pond!

Go Ros, your painted flowers are wonderful....keep this up as you're enjoying it and remember all those gorgeous flowers in nature are all different, not perfectly like each other, that makes them so beautiful.. hugs and keep safe Robyn

I think you got both just right! Love the bit of doodling too! News once a day is enough, I think. Thank you for sharing beauty instead of fear, my friend.

WOW~WOW~WOW these are gorgeous!!! You could be a stamp designer with these, so beautiful. I was able to work outside for a few hours yesterday and it felt so GOOD. My brother joined us as well as neighbor that lives across the creek behind us, we all stayed 6 feet apart, but it felt to good to actually talk to someone in person, of course the men all sat and talked while I worked, so typical isn't it? Take care my friend!!

Do keep concentrating on your cards and painting - there's no need to watch the news on a regular basis, especially if you feel low afterwards. What's the point? Anyhow, these cards, if at all possible, are even better than the previous ones, keep them coming!

Yes indeed--such a blessing to have friends around the world, especially now! Loving your flowers, dear friend--especially the fan flowers!

You're blowing my mind, you know... all the amazing things you're doing with your paints and now this triangle brush. Your leaves look good to me. I'd be thrilled with them! I watch the news from all around the world, but try not to spend too much time on it. I appreciate the selflessness of our healthcare workers, and all the kindness of friends and strangers. When our president speaks I push the mute button.

I LOVE watching Ceecee! Now I want to play with my fan shaped brush! I have only used it for splattering! BOTH of these cards are LOVELY!
