Cracked Pots

Hello there...How has your week been?

Here in the UK many people are in total confusion over the eased restrictions of lock down. I for one will not be taking any chances... We have been going out for necessities but now we are under the NHS shielding so we can finally get deliveries of our groceries.
I am still amazed at the many people who are not taking this seriously and worse, risking their babies and young children the way they are but enough said, it makes me so sad to see.

However, my post title doesn't refer to them Lol! It refers to a couple of my paintings... I actually have made some birthday cards this week but the weather is not conducive to photographing right now so I am sharing these instead

I'm not a fan of snails, but this one I call snail house - Those broken pots have to come in useful for something

We are constantly visited by squirrels here and they are so cheeky as well as noisy but what really is annoying is that they keep on tossing out the planters to bury nuts. Maybe I had that in mind when I did this one

And finally, I spotted the guy that my cat Missy has been chasing for weeks

I know I'm very good at sketching mice but I didn't have a stamp and wanted to just throw this in there

Be safe my friends and thanks so much for sharing your lovely creations to brighten my day... Thanks so much for your visit

Till soon

~ Ros ~

What wonderfully created 'paintings' these are and of course I always love each story here. The mouse is the best kind, he doesn't move..hah!! Very lovely as always!! We have had tons of rain here, and we are finally warming up a bit. We are closed up here pretty much until the 28th but I think she will extend it further. We also stay home, though I do go out for groceries every two to three weeks, a trip to mail our bills to the post office is a delight as we can get out! Luckily I have lots of garden work outside (when it's not raining) I can get to to keep me busy busy! Have a wonderful weekend my friend..big hugs!!

These are gorgeous Ros. I adore the little mouse especially - just wonderful. Would love him!
With you about the easing of restrictions - sad that some have just seen it as a green light to do whatever they want.
Although we have observed everything (and remain doing so)I am hoping for a 10 minute drive to a garden centre later this week to pick up some things for my garden to keep me occupied whilst I continue to stay in as much as I can.
My local one has some quite severe (and very good)restrictions with all the social distancing according to my neighbour who popped along there yesterday. Been a big outcry on social media though as they have said no children under 16! Which I think is sensible as it stops families heading there for a day out - I have nothing against kids but it can be difficult if you have a couple with you to make sure they are doing the right thing in places like these.
Keep painting - I am loving seeing your creations and stay safe.

Hi Ros...love these ...but then I love ALL your creations and your little mouse is super...I hate to think what one would look like if I drew one! I am with you on all this restriction business...it all makes me so angry. Hugs xx

More awesome paintings of your garden! I so love these! I'm not a fan of snails either, but yours is adorable! And I love the fat little mouse! I'm sure Missy would love to get a hold of him! Your pots are awesome and our squirrels do the same thing. They move flower bulbs around too. Pesky critters!

Just love your 'cracked pots' cards Ros - your little added friends and stories make them so special. Have to agree with you all that it's better to be staying home a bit longer and staying safe... I'm also amazed at those who seem to think they're 'safe' and gather in groups - we've been pretty lucky in Australia so far but it wouldn't take much to turn that around...Stay safe everyone, Robyn

All three are FABULOUS Ros! I'm not a big snail fan either but this little guy works perfectly with the cracked pot! Had to laugh about the squirrels too...my hubby loves them and is always saying "they have to eat too" when I complain about how they eat the suet cakes ALL the time...grrrrr!! And just like snails, I'm not a mouse fan either, but your little guy is just adorable! A trio of absolute cuteness my friend!! Hugs. :0)

Great story telling throughout Ros, with your fabulous cards. Wonderful drawing and painting (as always) glad the snail as a place to live! We are so fortunate up in Scotland that the restrictions are still in place....x

Ros, these are all beautiful! I'm in awe once again. The little snail, so sweet, and then the mouse. Oh my goodness, such an adorable mouse, nice and plump - lol. (I really don't like mice but we do get them), and I bet Missy would just love him! As for the squirrels we have 6 - 5 black and one grey, very pesky critters! Love when you add the toadstools to your images, gives it that whimsical feeling. Thanks for brightening up my day, as it is much cooler again today, cloudy with rain in the forecast for this afternoon and tomorrow! Hugs,

Three fun, beautiful and very clever painted garden scenes, Ros. You are a true artist, my friend. I have been trying to paint some flowers, but not luck...yet! I will keep trying. I am away from all my art supplies and want to try different ones when I have more to chose from. Your beautiful floral arrangements make it look so easy. Oh well, always fun to try new techniques. Thank you for sharing your beauties. Stay safe and creative, my friend. Hugs...Nancy

Love cracked pots - but the mouse is my winner! Too cute! I completely agree on the madness of some people, it's the same over here. And then the endless discussions about the continuation of Bundesliga soccer with all that entails while they're still not testing hospital and nursing home staff nowhere near as frequently as is recommended.

We're not taking any chances, either. We all could go out more if everyone just put on a mask & kept their distance, but apparently that's too much to ask. I have to admit I'm glad more people are being allowed to go back to work. The food bank lines are horrifying & seems to me this whole thing could have been done differently. If only politicians weren't in charge! OK--off my soapbox & onto telling you that you've found your calling in painting, my friend! The pots are all wonderful & I love the cracked ones along with the beautiful foliage! Sending big safe hugs across the pond!

What a fabulous trio of cards, Ros and your painting is just amazing. I particularly love the last one with the cute mouse and toadstools, and your little stories bring them to life.
We are staying home too and will be for the foreseeable future.
Stay safe,
Hugs

The nerve of those squirrels! Once I chased off a raccoon who was digging out a pot, but I realized later it was because I'd mixed fish fertilizer in it. Last time for that! Your mouse is adorable and beautifully drawn! All your cards are just the most wonderful, cheerful things! As always, I'm totally agog and delighted. Our state is starting to reopen, but Rich and I are still being cautious. I do have a hair appointment for June and he's trying to get into the barber, but nothing more than that. I'm quite impressed with the precautions they're taking at our hair places. However, I see how nutty people are being about congregating all over, as though you can just turn it all off with a switch. Maybe they don't care about themselves, but there's also no regard for others who do care. So I guess the rest of us have to hide out. Times like this bring out the best and the worst in people. Okay, I'm done.

The broken pot is a great addition and your mouse is so cute! Better for me than in person!
