Mushrooms in Snow

Hello! Another week is almost over, not that I even know what day it is anymore.
I hope this finds you all well and you're keeping your spirits up?

Mushrooms in snow... Okay so that doesn't usually happen but we're living in strange and unusual times so anything goes and only I could paint a snowy scene on the hottest day of the year so far Lol!

The night sky has always enthralled me and I wish I could see the stars as clear as many of you living in the States can. I watch documentaries and films and I'm in awe.
So this is another entry for the CAS Watercolour challenge

Granted it doesn't have to be a winter night - it could be a sunset I guess
and also for the Double D challenge

Something beginning with the letter M

I got some piling there on the moon with the snowy splatters and my trees look more like feathers but this is fantasy, where I live right now

I got to chat with my neighbour yesterday, from a distance of course... We haven't spoken or seen each other since lockdown and it was good to talk, though sadly she lost her BIL to this virus a few weeks ago. Meanwhile I am still trying to keep DH at home and I'm fighting a losing battle - He's been back to golf and to visit a friend (socially distancing which is not too bad) but he keeps wanting to go to shops and it's like playing Russian roulette out there when others do not observe the rules.
  Anyway....

Before I leave I wanted to show you one of my roses... I can't believe how big they are this year, probably down to the cleaner air

This one was so heavy it snapped the branch... It looks like 3 in one and smells heavenly.

Okay, that's it for now... Enjoy your day and be safe

~ Ros ~

Gosh, I don't know to comment on first as both the card and the rose are so beautiful!! Love your mushroom card and the beautiful sky, we have stars here but they are way more brilliant and see many many more when we drive the 5 1/2 hours to the lake house (or 'north' house as we like to call it), anyhow, your card is lovely!! The Rose is gorgeous and yes it does look like 3, I can almost smell it. Roses here aren't even budded yet, lilacs are just coming on thought the 2 heavy frosts we had did stump their beauty. Thanks so much too for joining our challenge at DD, did you see you were in the Top 3 there a few weeks ago? Have a 'marvelous' weekend my friend!!

And ya gotta love it when it fits another challenge like the Double D too!! Thanks so much for sharing this beauty (along with the gorgeous rose!) with us at CAS Watercolour! Hugs. :0)

I love your winter nighttime scene with the sweet toadstools Ros and that rose is gorgeous. I think you should do one of your paintings using this as the central image. x

Love your fantasy card and the feathers and mushrooms are a fun idea Ros x. Our night skies are fabulous on the west coast of Scotland and can be really stunning x. Glad you got to chat to your neighbours and good luck with keeping DH at home. So glad that you've got under the umbrella of the care system...That must be a huge relief? x

I love your fantasy scene, Ros! The mushrooms and feathery trees look very pretty in the snow and your night sky is awesome! I can't keep up with the days either or my hubby! He will NOT stay home! I keep praying he doesn't bring any unwanted stuff home with him! But your roses make me take a deep breath and appreciate the beauty! Thanks so much for sharing with us!

WOW ... that rose is AMAZING! I'm sure I can smell it through the screen. And the colour is gorgeous.

I love your mushrooms in the snow. You've made an adorable fantasy winter card. Your night sky is fabulous! Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour, my friend!

You're going to have to hide your hubby's car keys so he is forced to stay home. :) Stay safe. xx

A beautiful card with the night sky, Ros! Love the cute mushrooms, too! We will have some hot days for this coming weekend! I'm ready to see the sunshine once again. Oh, my husband is antsy, too. I'm afraid he will be very antsy next week when he is on vacation. I think I'll have to keep both of us busy with yard work, lol! And, your rose is absolutely spectacular!! I believe it would win the blue ribbon at a flower show, so beautiful!! Take good care, hugs!!

I love your whimsical winter night with starry skies and fabulous mushrooms! So beautiful, Ros! That rose is so amazing! I thought it was three together, it's so huge! I am fighting the same battle with my husband. He just can't stay in the house and is always finding a reason he needs to go to the grocery or hardware store - daily!

LOVE, Love Love your adorable fantasy scene!!! The mushrooms are so magical and the night sky is so pretty.
Your rose is stunning! We have roses the same colour, called Just Joey. I know what you mean about the Russian Roulette. We've been so lucky so far in Australia, but now that restrictions are easing, my 2 adult kisd and DH are out more. I have Asthma and a lung condition, so I'm staying home. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour. Take care hugs x

OH my dear this card is just AMAZING! I LOVE seeing your painted scenes ... always SO professionally done! LOVE what you've done on this design ... I can actually 'feel the chill in the air'. And, OMG what can I say about that GORGEOUS Rose. The color alone is stunning and the 3 in 1 development is awesome! Just beautiful ... truly love the color ... might have to go in search of one like this!! Stay well and healthy ... I know you're doing your best to keep the DH safe ... they can be suck stinkers sometimes can't they! LOL

Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Double D ‘Begins with “M”’ challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.

The mushrooms look like they're dancing somehow - or having some sort of a good time! Lovely card. That rose is fantastic... I just came in from cutting my large rose bush down considerably, it's suffering from blight (? looks dusted with flour) and I cut off all the infected parts, at least 60 buds and tons of leaves, before spraying it with a milk/water mixture that's supposed to help if administered weekly... figers crossed!

Oh Ros, your card is darling! Yes, for sure you can have mushrooms in snow, it's your card and you can do what you want! LOL. I think they look fabulous with the night sky, love the splatter of white paint, and those little springs. Beautiful!
And for your Rose, wow, wow, stunning, and such a beautiful colour. Your probably right about the cleaner air. Keep well Ros!

Your card is total fantasy and it's beautiful and I love it! Your rose is jaw dropping amazing, too. That's a real WOW. It has to be the improved environment. I'm sorry about your friend's BIL. Seems like that could be motivation for your hubby to stay out of the shops. Our county is reporting no deaths and only 31 cases so that sounds good, but only 1031 people in then whole county have been tested. I'm sure you've heard on the news how things are being handled over here. I'm very disappointed on so many levels. Back to my Golden Retriever bubble.

Incredibly gorgeous rose! Your painting is just amazing & so beautiful! I like mushrooms in snow! How sad your neighbor lost a family member to Covid. Just wish people cared enough to follow guidelines, even if their family hasn't been affected. We figure we won't be able to get back to normal for a long time due to the lack of responsible behavior around us. Thinking of you & sending hugs, my friend!
