Happy Birthday

Hello there...
I'm feeling so much better since the rain came and cooled everything down, thank you all for your well wishes. It's scary when you don't feel right and there's a pandemic lurking but I'm okay.

A few days ago my blog friend Loll celebrated her birthday and I'm hoping her card arrived.

Loll gifted me that beautiful stencil and it seemed fitting to use it for her card plus I LOVE it and couldn't wait to play with it

The butterfly is stamped, embossed, painted and fussy cut

Of course I had to make another card using this stencil... This one is for a family member

... with a gold painted butterfly.
A little tip... It's impossible to cut around those tiny antennae so I stamp and emboss them onto the vellum and then adhere the butterfly.

I've been playing with paints all day hence it's a late post and now I have to go cook dinner.

Have a beautiful day/evening and I'll catch up with you all soon

Beautiful Ros, I'm sure Loll will love the card. I love the colours you used with the stencil and that delicate butterfly is so pretty.
I'm glad you're feeling better, you're so right about health issues during this pandemic- such a worry.

That is a lovely stencil, Ros and how clever to use vellum so we can see more of the design. I'm glad you are feeling better - I am too now that it is cooler and I can sleep again!
Take care my friend.

What a gorgeous birthday card Ros!! I LOVE how the leaves fall in the background. Your vellum panel softens the colours so that your beautiful butterfly is the star! Gorgeous!! I haven't received your card yet, but now look forward to seeing it in real life!! Thanks so much, sweet friend! xx

I'm still loving these sweet butterflies, Ros! Great tip on doing the antennae! Love the stenciled leaves in both colors! I'm so glad you are feeling better. I think all of us worry when we don't feel just right.

I'm so sorry that I missed your mentioning that you had been feeling a bit under the weather Ros so didn't wish you well in my comment... how rude! I'm pleased that it has passed and was probably caused by the sudden steamy temperatures and I'm glad that it is cooler now myself. Two gorgeous cards using that lovely leaf stencil, a great gift from Loll, and such beautiful sparkly butterflies. I am with you on the antennae too. x

I can see why you went ahead and made a 2nd card when the first one turned out so beautifully! Well done my friend!! Hugs. :0)

Amazing what you can do with stenciling!! Both cards are beautiful and a great tip on the antenna's. Glad to hear you are feeling better, it is very scary to not feel well during this time. One night I woke up with the worse headache and was so hot , so was worried I had the virus, but false alarm..whew! Take care my friend!!

So happy you are feeling much better. The rain probably helped wash the pollen and mold away:-)

Two gorgeous stenciled cards, Ros. Love both colors and love your stamped butterfly and large sentiments on vellum. TFS your antennae tip too. I just got the same stencil in the mail yesterday from Lolly and now have your two beauties for inspiration:-)

Stay safe and Creative, my friend. Hugs...Nancy

Sorry I'm a little behind in catching up to everyone's blog posts. Ros, I'm so glad you are feeling much better! You have created two beautiful cards with this stencil. Stencils always seem to make such a pretty background. I have so many I just don't use them enough. Pretty butterflies and love the big bold sentiment!
Keep well my friend, hugs

That is a cool stencil & I love how you used it with the butterflies & vellum panels! Thanks for the tip about how to deal with the antennae! Glad you're feeling better, Ros. It is scary with the pandemic which is worsening here. So upsetting & depressing. Apparently 128,000 plus people dead doesn't matter to a lot of people in the US who care only about themselves. Yep--angry & depressed a lot of the time, but at least I feel better when I'm crafting.

What a fabulous birthday card for Loll! It's so thoughtful of you to use the stencil she gifted to you for the card.
The shimmer of the butterfly is so beautiful.
Thank you for sharing the useful tip (butterfly antennae)!
So glad to hear that you feel better now.

You used the vellum to maximum effect, I really like it! And how the sentiment on the second one moved from the vellum to the card... I would guess that was not one of the easier feats in card creating. Relieved to hear you're feeling better!
