Rainy Day Cards

Hello there... Another week has flown by!

We've had rain most days here and yesterday it was heavy all day so with the cats curled up in their baskets either side of me, I spent time playing with paints, stamps and pens. I'm sharing two of my cards today...

It's pretty dull with the rain outside but if I turn this to the light you can see the shine a little better

I love the gloss of black embossed images, especially on coloured backgrounds and after randomly applying paints and some gold splatters, I stamped and embossed the flower bud from an old set by Wplus9. I drew the stems and leaves and added the lines and dots to the buds.

This flower head was from a set I got at the Works a long time ago and again I drew the stem and leaves and added a few dots.

The paints I used are Prima's but the gold is by Gansai Tambi, splattered on the BG then painted in various places on the images.

I had so much fun doing these but the problem I have with cards is when it comes to sending them - I struggle with which one to send. Do you ever do that... "would she prefer this one or that one?"

Well, I hope you are all doing okay, Stay safe and thanks so much for stopping by

Two more absolute beauties Ros!! I love the water colored backgrounds with the stamped and embossed images in black...they really pop against all that color and I'm loving the touches of gold too! And I don't think you need to worry too much about which one to send to whom...any of your cards would be loved by ALL! And I almost hate to tell you that we are still having non stop sunshine here in Michigan...probably making up for NO sunshine for the 8 months of Winter we get here! Ugh!! But anyway, I'll try to send some over for ya! Have a great weekend my friend! :0)

Yes indeed, I do the same thing debating about which card to send. Although, I always know a blue & green one would be welcome at your house--haha! Yep--I kinda know you even though we've never met. I really want to case these 2 cards as they're some of my favorites! You can be sure I won't be drawing the stems & leaves, however--not in my skill set! Sending love & hugs to you, my dear friend.

So pretty Ros and I love the way you have added the stems and leaves to the stamped flower heads, and love the bright and pretty backgrounds too. x

Ros, I love the look of clear embossed black as well - it just makes all of your gorgeous puddles of color pop!
I have this little bud! Your custom additions of stems and leaves has me looking at it much differently - mostly with envy! lol
Wish this last bloom was still available - wow it's a beauty!

Now, that sounds like the perfect thing to do on a rainy day and WOW look at the outcome! GORGEOUS ... SO creative! I love them both! Oh yes I struggle with choosing cards to mail and worse then that, I forget to mail them ... it's not like I don't have any cards to send to folks LOL. Have a great day my friend ... I'm off to Pennsylvania to mow the grass at my mother's house. We had several showings but no offers yet. Hopefully my efforts to keep it looking nice on the outside will help persuade someone they really need to buy it! LOL HUGS and HAPPY DAY ... stay safe & healthy ... that's what we're doing here in Ohio. HUGS

Love your watercolored backgrounds and gold splatters on both your cards, Ros. How wonderful that you added lines, stems and leaves to your stamped flowers to make them your own original watercolored flower designs:-) You are so talented and clever, my friend. TFS...Stay safe and Creative..Hugs..Nancy

Wow! Not only are these flowers and backgrounds beautiful in color, the gold gives them such a rich look! Sometimes I struggle with choosing just the right card. Most of the time, actually! Hope the sun comes out soon!

Lovely cards - and all I will say is: do not ever hesitate to send ANY card to whoever, they are all lovely and will be appreciated accordingly!

These cards represent nice combinations of stamping plus your own touch of art with the drawing of the stems and leaves. Gorgeous watercolor backgrounds, too, and I love the gold. I always forget to use my metallic paints. Since I make both cute cards and pretty cards I sometimes end up with too many of one or the other and don't have the right one when it comes time to mail. Trust me when I say that any of your awesome cards would be the right card to send!

Yes I do find it difficult to choose and what's more, I have boxes of homeless cards that I've made for challenges! These cards are beautiful -I'm amazed by how you make the splashes look like you've created beauty without really trying - and anyone would be delighted to receive them.

Oh, two lovely beauties! Very pretty flowers and love the added leaves and stems! Great touches with the splatters of gold, too! At times I struggle with who to send cards to especially at Christmastime. But, either card will be appreciated, I’m sure! Two lovely beauties, well done!! Have a great week, hugs!!

What fabulous backgrounds and the pop of gold shines through Ros. Wonderful cards and absolutely beautiful.
I tend to make cards for the recipient first rather than decide afterwards, which makes it a little easier Ros x.
Any of your cards would be gratefully received, I am sure, as they are stunning and creative x.

Your backgrounds are gorgeous especially with that hint of gold in them. Love the florals embossed with black, just makes them pop, and all your doodling makes them come alive! I have the same problem when it comes to sending cards Ros, but in the end no matter which one you send them will love it! Stay safe!
