Birthday Cards

 Hello!

Summer is paying us a final visit before Autumn settles in and it is very welcome...

I have two birthday cards to share, the first one went to a friend in Scotland and the second one is going across the pond to a blog friend.

I used a new stencil here by Lavinia but the flowers I drew and painted

Though you can't see it on my photos, the flowers are very sparkly - I went over them with a glitter gel pen

Whilst I still had those paint colours wet  I did the second card with 'blobs' and doodled over them

I absolutely love how these flowers turned out

I added a little gold paint and some sequins after.

Both cards have embossed sentiments but again not easy to see.

My previous doodled flowers here won me a $25 voucher at Simonsays Stamp... Thank you Diane for the heads up and thank you to SSS!  Of course the postage for goods to the UK is $15.99 but nevertheless it was an honour to be spotlighted.

Okay, so as soon as the guy who has come to clean the gutters today is finished, I'm going to join my Gingerboy in the garden and relax.

Thanks so much for your visit... If only it was IRL

Take care

~ Ros ~

2 beauties Ros (I mean the cards not you and me....)
Ventured out to the gardens at Dunham Massey today - still last signs of Summer but Autumn deffo on the way - may share pics in my next blog post - had to book and it was lovely to just be outside with few people around. Hope all OK down the motorway. xx

Well don't you just hate it when the sparkles evade the camera? Regardless, this card sure is stunning!

Wow Ros, just love today's flowers, and the Lavinia stencil is one that has caught my eye too and love the strip of vellum underneath the circular flower layer, and then the wonderful blobs turned into perfectly formed flowers, and amazing how you managed to make the flower shapes fit the blobs. I love the colours you've used too. These will be loved by their recipients. x

I am Thrilled my dear sweet creative girl friend!!! Your 2nd very creative and beautiful hand painted flowers and leaves over the "blobs" of paint made it in time today for my 75th birthday tomorrow and without a scratch:-) I can't thank you enough for your work of art, Ros! I now have 2 of your hand painted works of art that I will always treasure. I loved your added sequins and gold shiny painted leaves for a bit of shine and the pretty font on the sentiment. My twin sister, Margie is coming over tomorrow to craft with me, have a fresh from our garden veggie dinner, homemade Norwegian Blueberry cake and wine and evening of chatting with Denny and I and then a sleep over:-) She will have her own space in our travel trailer and we will be distancing, which is not a problem. Wish you could join us:-) Thank you again, my friend. Love and Hugs...Nancy

Both your birthday cards are beautiful, Ros, but I agree with SSS that your card for Nancy is extraordinary and definitely a winner! I was just thinking "where did she get those awesome flowers stamps" when I read how you created this art. I'm in awe, again. I'm sure I've said this before, but I'll say again that anyone affiliated with any stamp company will offer you a job designing stamps after seeing this! Or you should start your own company with hubby and son! :) Hugs, Darnell

Well Ros, I just have to say I agree with everyone else... your cards are simply wonderful and your artwork is amazing... blobs into flowers, like Darnell, I thought they were stamps... just beautiful with 'your colours' - Nancy was thrilled, hugs and stay safe Robyn
